I'm 23 and a lot of my engschool/univ friends have jobs now (as in, the job where you spend half your life, and you spend a quarter of your life sitting in traffic jobs and polluting your planet to get to your job and get back home. not crapo temp job like me)

so, yeah

yeah, stapul is the oldest person on this board.

anyone older than him is outright rejected.

I first joined nsmbhd/kuribo64 at a relatively chill time. More of the 'first-gen' members were active, SMG2.5 was living and general interest in NSMB/SMG hacking wasn't going down yet.

At least that's what I recall from back then.

I remember getting two comments right after registering, from both Stapul and Grid.
Best welcome I could ever ask for.

I remember your debuts, you have changed a lot since then, and positively :)

meanwhile I clearly fucked myself up big time, when I should clearly be getting my life job, dropping all personality and flavor to fit the corporate mold, getting a girlfriend, marrying her, buying a house and a car, then having two children, optimally boy and girl, and pressuring them to repeat the same scheme

i can only imagine how many children are being forced to follow that same scheme

anyway, if we're gonna talk about our debuts
i joined in the blargboard days, where i got a lot of things wrong (ie making an introduction thread), but after my inactivity, i definitely connected with everyone here, and had a lot of good (and very few bad) times with you guys.

oh how we have evolved

making an intro thread isn't a bad thing per se (not something I would care about), and it's definitely not bad compared to my debuts in 2008

(actually I first internetted really in 2007, I was active in emulation scenes, but mostly making shitty plugins for PCSX2, and the 'desmume mods' that were my first experience with DS emulation. it actually went okay, unlike my venture at Jul)

you also seem pretty mature for a 13 year old

I guess we're talking about introductions now. I first joined Rvlution around late 2014-early 2015, but I didn't really join the community until November 2016. I made a REALLY bad impression of myself in my first few months, but I think by now, people don't mind my presence (Or at least, I hope people don't).

I technically joined when I was 11 for some reason, but started actually contributing when I was 12, in 2015 (Starting by asking for help with the SM64DSE ASM Hacking Template.). This board will always have a special place in my heart because it's the first community I really actually was a part of, before NSMBHD/the other hacking boards, or Discord.

Happy Birthday K64!

(Oh, and also, I told CamTro about this thread.)

I remember my first ROM hacking days were back in 2008, where I made Super Mario World levels, and sent a few to Proton Jon for him to play, which he never did. Makes sense, since they all resembled a garbage can.

As for kuribo64, I remember finding this forum after searching how to hack Super Mario Galaxy, since I had always wanted to. And I remember getting tons of replies very quickly whenever I asked a question relating to it back then.

And now... I don't really do anything.
