So just to reiterate, this galaxy is FOOD themed, not "Fast Food" themed. The name is fast food because it introduces Dash Yoshi and nothing more! Now, back on topic... Remember that we don't need to use dash Yoshi in both of the stars, and we could do some fun things with food in general. I'm just going to list some concepts I'd like to see:
- 2D donut planets with gravity, as well as 3D donut planets that you can walk all the way around (perhaps a star chip challenge?) - A frying pan you need to platform across, where the actual pan will burn you, but you can jump between spoons/forks and whatnot. Or, if we want to make it have more to do with dash yoshi, it could have bacon that curves up steeply so you have to use a dash pepper to run up. - Some people suggested a bowl of milk that you can swim through... that might be neat, or just a glass of water. What else could be cool is a bowl full of cereal that you need to platform across, and the "milk" acts like swamp water, so if you touch it you die. - A soda planet with a fountains shooting out of the tops of soda cans, maybe? You can use the fountains to reach greater heights. That's all I've got for now... |

Oh, that would be so cool. I never even thought of donuts. We can have a bowl of milk, since from what Rean has taught me about water, the area is just collision and the actual model is something different. The only problem is that going underwater (if we even will) might be hard to see since it's milk. It's a solid white texture

I like all of Glem3's ideas 
Also here's an idea: What if we have pancake planets with syrup on them, and the syrup acts like the mud that slows Mario down. I LOVE the idea of cotton candy clouds. We're definitely using that. Can't help but be reminded of this:

Now, more ideas: - Flying between wagon wheel pasta during launch star flight - Wads of bubble gum on certain planets acting as tar - Sliding down a straw into a glass of water (you don't go down below, ice cubes block you, but it leads you to the next segment) - Good place to use grapes, maybe...? Of course as normal Mario, they just break... And I don't think this is the place for bee Mario, but maybe we could still find a use for them... or maybe just as background objects? - For the soda planet, maybe at the end you enter a can of soda and have to scale it by either platforming around it in a spiral fashion OR if we want to use dash yoshi, we could have you dash up the side of the can whilst avoiding various obstacles (amps, forks, etc.). You exit through the little tab you open up on the top of a soda can, and proceed onwards. - Pizza planet(s): 5 star chips, 5 pizza slices? Could work, either separate the slices and place enemies or build structures on top of a whole pie to make for an interesting area. - Broccoli jungle? There could be a grassy veggie area where broccoli acts as trees, maybe? It could be a foggy area too. - Shish Kebab planet? Could make for some interesting platforming, if not one of those cylindrical sections seen many times throughout SMG2. We could also do that with corn or a hotdog or something. - Taco shells? Seems to me like they have a pretty good design for dash yoshi! - Macaroni tube slides connecting parts of the level? The level could be split up into food groups, as a second thought. |
