We can boycott all we want, but Apple will still reap profits from their sheep. So it won't force them into bankruptcy. Plus, they're already too rich from all the profits they have so far, it would be close to impossible for them to go into bankruptcy.
Take a random Android company however, that are valued based on their actual.value and not possessing a herd of cattle, they would go down quite easily, even without a boycott. I remember Motorola or some other company announced bankruptcy or something somewhere. And yep, Apple sheep are the majority of the people. I really think they can only learn a lesson when someone popular that has a following criticizes Apple and such. I don't know how relevant this is, but my art teacher just brought up how he expects this future to go wireless. I'm assuming it has to do with how iPhone 7 got rid of the headphone jack. I countered by saying the quality of wireless sucks and you can more easily lose them, but he said "really" and "we'll, just take care of them, we can lose anything" so I'm not sure he made a good argument.

Holy shit guys! We actually have some long awaited anti-Apple progress happening! In China, you can get fired for buying an iPhone 7. The reasons are simplistic, to dissuade people from becoming uber materialistic and such. Unhealthy obsessions with pricey shit, and to not develop an Apple habit (save the sheep!) And it's quite obvious that the sheep need to be saved-they sell their freaking organs just for a piece of shit. How awful.

Bear in mind that capitalism isn't evil, but rather the people who utilize it. At its core it's wholesome: work to get ahead, manage your own affairs, and what you earn is yours.
Of course, the existence of foreign systems are readily available to these capitalists to abuse: cheap labour. Then we have businesses, such as Apple, who rise to the top, earn loyalty, then abuse that loyalty by arranging scams such as this. "Soda cans no longer come with tabs! They're far too outdated. Here, buy this tiny soda can opener for $79.99. It's the size of a pea and looks like a rock." So... without capitalism, we have nothing. Perhaps a better system exists out there, but we've yet to find it. It's not its principles that make it flawed, but the people who run it. No matter the circumstance, someone will always be in an immoral position: the lordship, the "socialist organiser", the capitalist - but at least one allows anyone (under it) to progress forward. |

Also depends of the rate at which capitalism is applied. It isn't a black-and-white thing.
The current capitalist system is willing to go to any length to make money -- putting potentially dangerous chemicals in your food, risking dangerous oil spills at any time, extracting all resources until depletion... This is why it's bad. I tend to say "capitalism is bad" but it's a shortcut for "the capitalist system is bad". Oh also, capitalism itself isn't the only way things can work. It's quite simple, really. Their battery has always been smaller. Look at the capacity. Less than 2000 mAh versus the Galaxy S7, which has a 3000 mAh battery. Simple math. They could try to be as efficient as possible (lower crap resolution, less RAM), but it's basically impossible, something that is not there can never be made up. Oh yeah, they probably did this to make people buy the Plus variant, since it has a 2x larger capacity than the smaller shit version.
