My parents call my 3ds a DSI and they call my DS a DSI or a 3DS and they call my Wii U a Wii.

Customer: "A New 3DS."
The very same twollop: "Um, alriiiiiiight. So is that a new 3DS?"
Customer: "No, a new New 3DS."
Twollop again: "Um, this one?"
Customer: "The one with coloured buttons"
Twollop, the returnining: "Ohh, why didn't you say that in the first place?"

It's just unneeded hassle. Why not call it; 3DS, with Coloured Buttons~

super confusing naming indeed. and a terrible marketing strategy. why sell a 3DS then sell a better one a while later?

the New 3DS will end up like the DSi, with like 3 games taking advantage of its features. I don't think many game editors will want to participate to this lame marketing.

It also has the Binding of Isaac port and SNES virtual console ports.
