its the same texture, I just changed the colors and took out the shine in boo's eyes. and can you please shut up about my hack vs fiachra's? It's bad enough that my partner, hmario, doesn't do anything to contribute. You have no idea how many times i went to his house and yelled at him to do something other than crack bad puns and whatnot rather than help me on the hack.

KEK. I'm just wondering why you are still making it though. It seems pointless, does is not? Why not port another game? He has posted a thread about it here and on gbatemp and has gotten a lot of feedback and suggestions on what people would like to see in the hack. (The ASM changes go without saying.)

Maybe hmario doesn't wanna work on the project because he sees why its pointless.

@pacmainia&luigi I had something similar in mind.

Make the red things have a transparent textures. It would be cool if the egg was light blue and translucent and swirling so that it would look like it was in comet mode.

Pardon me for butting into the thread, but I was wondering if you had ever made any progress on how the gravity would work?
I was thinking about those pillars in Shifting Sand Land, and how you're able to run straight up them, and it made me wonder if there's anything useful in the way that those work that could help you with the gravity issues.

Those pillars are just barely sloped, so when you run up it, it acts as a hill, except it doesnt slide you down, however you do get pushed off if you try to stand on the sides.

SMG gravity will almost certainly never be coded in sm64ds, so dont hold your breath.

This is fantastic. I couldn't be any more excited for this! I remember when I was seven or eight, watching that mock up trailer for mario galaxy ds, loving the idea, and not knowing that was fake until years later. I hope the best for this hack!

No matter how MANY times I tried to import some models even on emulator the game won't boot them whatsoever now even since you guys reported me the R4 results, thanks a lot btw. For info Observatory model is 6K polygons (4K in the image below) aside from its 2K KCL and do not exceed 64k texture cache, I'm quite sad now, if I can't import levels this is not gonna help progressing because it's not like I'm not willing to dedicate myself in.

For anything that is a complete sphere, use a texture and make it always face the camera, like the bobombs.

He could find something that already rotates towar the camera, make a spere around it in the collision and just changing its collision to 0 (the object)

What are you talking about? There is no way to give an object collision if it doesn't have an already existing collision. And it would look super shitty so that idea is scrapped.
