Driving terrifies me, I have a tendency to panic easily because I usually feel out-of-control...and because of that I have a preference for manual, but good luck finding one in the US that isn't an old truck, especially in small towns like mine.

I'm always afraid of other idiots fucking me up.

Admittedly it can also happen when you're not driving.

That too. I need to get a dashcam and start making compilations like this person: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YssLJPxlQMk (I don't live there, just the first video I found). I'm also the definition of "backseat driver".

I honestly don't understand why manual transmission is still so popular in europe and south america. Here in NA theres not much of it.

It's mostly popular in sports cars like the Camaro and Mustang GTs. In a standard, you shift when you want to. Why is this good? Your engine makes more sound the higher your tachometer reaches higher RPM levels. On a Corvette C7 Stingray, once the tachometer reaches the 6000 RPM, the engine is loud. Keep in mind that the engine is being strained, thus, making a lot of sound if you have a good exhaust system. Engines don't explode or burn up if you strain them for too long because most companies place a limiter on how high you can go per shift in the tachometer. The only way you could damage your car is to purposely rev up your engine to the red zone of the tachometer and letting the engine basically tear itself apart.

one of my biggest fears is stalling as I enter something like a big, fast-traffic roundabout, getting stuck in the middle of it

As long as you shift between the 4th - 6th RPM level, you should be fine. And stalling an engine is harder now on newer cars than old ones. Honda, Mazda, Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi and Audi have engines that are kinda hard too stall, IMO.

How to mass-mark emails read in Gmail, when you've let it grow to like 500 unread emails:

(it happens when you know what an email is about, and go check the site but don't read the email)

"Mark all as read"?

Nope, you idiot! It'd be too easy! Doing so only marks the emails on the current page.

There's a way other than manually doing it for 50+ pages of emails, though.

Create a filter on from:(*) with action set to mark as read, and most importantly, check 'apply filter to existing conversations'. Once it's done, delete the filter.

You can use the same trick to mass-delete emails. Kind of lame that there's no way to perform the actions without creating filters, though.

Dunno if this is a well-known fact, but when you want to launch the HomeBrew Launcher via MenuHax and forgot to press L when starting your 3DS, you can launch the settings and press L when exiting it to launch the HomeBrew Launcher without having to restart.

In Australia, if you don't drive a manual, you're practically considered dickless.

I use automatic transmission, by the way.

You can use the same trick to mass-delete emails

When I access my icloud emails online (don't worry, I just use it to sign up for shit :P) I can just do ctrl a + del to delete thousands of emails at once. Works great. I can then do the same thing in my trash folder without any warnings.

So recently eBay put up an ad bar above its topbar, that can slide out to reveal a huge ad.

The coding is sneaky. Here's how to nicely block the thing if you use µblock:
www.ebay.fr###pushdownAdFragment
||ir.ebaystatic.com/rs/v/2kd2yuw0r2zghgo1q5q0o4jubmy.css
Replace www.ebay.fr in the first one with your eBay domain.

First line blocks the ad bar itself. Second line is required because that CSS file has a hack that pushes the topbar background 30px down and it looks like shit.
