Little things, but it adds up.

For example, is your water tap acting funny and spraying hard, misdirected jets of water?

On most taps, you can remove the filter end, you find out it has two opposite flat edges. There are tools made especially for that, but you can also use a pair of pliers on the flat edges, just make sure to be careful and not damage it.

You then drop the filter in vinegar to dissolve the sediment that has accumulated on it. You can also clean it by hand -- some lend themselves well to that.

Put it back when it's clean, and your water jet is all nice.

Do you know those cardboard cylinders inside the toilet paper?
I put cables that I'm not currectly using inside of them.

It's pretty useful if you have alot of cables. You can easely store them, and get them out quick without having to deal with a mess of other cables first.
Plus, it's completely free.

How do you fit cables in those? They're tiny.

Most computer-related cables could fit.

I handle those differently though. I keep the beam things that cables are attached with when they're packaged. Those prove handy.

Wireless chargers. I got a bunch and put them around the house, all you gotta do is put your phone on one of these and it charges. Who needs cables nowadays?

I prefer cables because with those you can actually use your phone while charging.

Oh I cant use a phone while its plugged in, too much hassle #firstworldproblems
Wireless chargers are for when you do anything other than use the phone (90% of the time in my home), just drop it on one of the chargers and get it when you want.

this charger has a long wire, it's not an inconvenience to use it plugged :P

How about some keyboards shortcuts?

Ctrl is useful when editing text as it allows you to work with entire words at once, like ctrl+backspace will delete until the beginning of the word at the cursor and ctrl+delete will do the opposite. You can also use ctrl+left/right to go back/forward a word. Ctrl+Home/End goes to the beginning or end of the document and ctrl+up/down work like Home/End (at least in some applications).

In Windows, if you press Windows + the number corresponding to the pinned application in your taskbar, you can open that application or minimize/restore it if it's already open. Windows+X opens a menu with a lot of convenient options and Windows+T gives keyboard focus to the taskbar.

Those little underlines under items in applications' menubars are for quickly accessing the items with the Alt key. Just hold down Alt, press the underlined letter on the item you want, then press the letter for the menu item and boom. For example I can open the server list in HexChat by simply pressing Alt+xs.

Yea, shortcuts are amazing, Ctrl+Z is the best addition to ever exist, because everyone makes mistakes, might as well fix them!

Automatic transmission in general

My bro had a manual transmission car, so that means he needs to keep using that car to practice it (he's pretty horrible at manual transmission) that I was about to drive in ;~;

Delayed, but I wanna drive and own that Honda Civic so badly

My dad's old truck was a stick shift. I know how to use it, too.

But my car is an automatic too so lol

I honestly don't understand why manual transmission is still so popular in europe and south america. Here in NA theres not much of it.

In LA stick shift is far less practical than auto, due to the notorious traffic it had.

(hell I didn't even know how bad LA traffic is, that "bad" traffic is "normal" to me)

In South America (or least here where I live) manual transmission is popular because most actually affordable cars use it. Automatic transmission exists of course, but you'd paying quite a bit more for that, and that's money that most people don't want/can waste, specially nowadays.

There's a video about this (+ actual subtitles in English). It's a bit old, but it's still relevant.

b0rp.

automatic transmission is more natural and also easier to deal with.

one of my biggest fears is stalling as I enter something like a big, fast-traffic roundabout, getting stuck in the middle of it
