Yay! Almost finished! I just think that there's too much rocks on the star select screen but this is just my opinion.

Also, uhh...idk if this is stupid, but I feel like that Rainbow Mario would look a lot better with a trail of some kind, be it SMG-style ([image]) or something different. Just my thoughts, though, and well, I'm kinda nuts about flashy coloured trails, so my thoughts may or may not be a bit skewed... XD

a trail like that requires rendering 4 more marios, which is a ton of extra polygons. maybe i could consider one extra render behind him, but i think that would look alot worse.

...right. What about just a couple of blurry, multicoloured, vaguely Mario-shaped particles? Or perhaps multicoloured stars? I don't mean to be pushy about this, I'm just throwing out ideas that I hope might be more doable. It's your choice if you want to take them. And well, it's still pretty awesome to see Rainbow Mario and, well, all of this other stuff... O:

Okay here is what I have to say about this video.

The music is really good it could be a bit better but to me i like it. The Rainbow Star music is spot on like Galaxies.
The Thunder Lakitu's was a nice touch for this course. The Rainbow Star should make you be able to run faster it doesn't need new animation at least, It should also let you jump higher and if possible use this animation when Mario first jumps second and third is normal a trail when it runs would be nice even if it's one trail behind him.

Lastly when the thwomp wakes up it's eyes look tired I would use this face since they use that in galaxy.

Also when Mario touches the Rainbow Star like the other power ups using the classic power up sound. The rainbow star should use that sparkle (or the power up) sound effect like you touch a power star or a cap and also the power down sound after it wears off.

Looking forward till you upload the final soundtrack for this!

i am mostly done with this and am only doing little improvements everywhere to the game right now; i'll probably implement most of the ideas that youve presented, geoshi, since i want a more accurate power star powerup.

also, heres a little preview of the new file select:

I'm pretty sure this can actually compete with the original games! Really, REALLY looking forward to this.
EDIT: In fact, I dare say that's it's like the Newer SMBW of the 3d mario games! Exept that Newer had 1 new powerups and 15 new ennemies while this has, like, 10 new powerups and 60 new ennemies.

I don't see anything wrong with the other powers even what you can add on it or not for each power up other than the normal Lakitu Cloud module :)

you can play SM64 romhacks on like 20 different devices, i'm sure you'll find one to play it on. its easy to set up too.
