Wait... who said Skawo had to make a Newer2

There's other good level designers out there as well LIKE MEEE

Actually, working on something like Newer2 would be really fun
(But that means I'd have to buy another 3DS)

well, I would certainly be interested, and I'm sure people like Mariomaster and Imnotstaple would be too after they finish their own projects.

too bad I'd have to buy another 3DS/2DS too. :P

Why not make something original instead of redoing NSMBW?

Why should I play levels made for a big screen, specifically for different powerups on a a small screen with strange trys to come the original as close as possible.

Also I imaginge that remaking levels is kinda boring...

I believe it'd be nice to make a hack similar to that of the Wii version, but that's just my opinion, so I don't know. Using the Wii version's tileset in the 3DS would be cool, too.

Anyway, I'm still working on my own project, so that's that.

If you want to do it without the newer team, why even call it newer? Only by changing the name it could be a completely orginal thing that would be your creation at 100%.

You, uh, download it from here, extract it, and run Coinkiller.exe.

You then select the ROMFS folder. Not a file. You need to extract the rom filesystem (ROMFS) into a folder, and then select it thru coinkiller. Then you can edit levels. :P

Are you sure that you selected the entire romfs folder?

If yes, are you sure that your romfs folder contains the Course and Unit folders.
And don't try opening dlc levels if the Course folder does not contain the dlc folder.

Probably, but there's a lot of more steps than the normal method, which you can find here: https://kuribo64.net/board/thread.php?id=2454 . Note that when you get to step 5, the tutorial gets a bit out dated, refer to my post: https://kuribo64.net/board/thread.php?pid=66791#66791 .
