It's funny how calling them "African American" or "Afro-American" is even more Racist, than just calling them "black".
I mean, is there a word for "white" people? European Americans? Euro-Americans? Nope! Besides, now all ethnic Africans are black, just look at the Northern Region, where people are brown. Even look at South-Africa, where half of its population is white! |

I don't really like the idea of Black history month. While no one should trivialize the horrors of racism, I don't see any sort of Chinese or Native American history month and they suffered a lot from racism. Probably not to the same systematic horror that lead to a civil war, but still something no one should ever have to go through.

No, I think it's important to remember racism in the past, and that it happened, i'd attribute a day, but not a month. The holocaust has a day and 6 million people died there and it happened 70 years ago. |
