Thought we should post this somewhere.

To join us, you can either use the Mibbit link, or get a real IRC client. (I recommend XChat)

Have fun!

The only thing I don'tlike about it is the NinaBot whenever somebody posts, it says it.

How, you *don't* like it?

It's the most only really useful feature of the bot!

This way you don't have to check the forums again and again for new posts.

It's not a bug, it's a feature. Also, it's nice way of informing about new posts.

EDIT: ... ninja'd

If it really bothers you that much, you can always /ignore NinaBot.

But don't.
It's really useful, trust me. You'll agree with me when you get used to it.

I personally find that, when NinaBot is broken, activity in NSMBHD goes down, because people don't notice new posts and don't reply.

So... yea. Post reporting is a GOOD feature.

How to set up an IRC client and use it to connect to Kuribo64's IRC channel:

(For this, I'll assume that you are using Windows.)

Download XChat-WDK from here. (If you don't know which one to pick, the first one will always work)

Install XChat-WDK and open it.

A window named network list should show up with some entries at the top. You fill in your user information in those entries.
Here's an example of what it could look like for me:

Nick name:

Nina

Second choice:

Nina`

Third choice:

Nina`

User name:

Muffins

Real name:

Nina H. P.

The nick name, second choice and third choice fields here are for the nick name that will be visible to others when you say something.
The user name field is not your user name, it's a small description of sorts. Fill in whatever you want.
The real name field is for your real name, but you don't have to fill it in if you don't want people to know your real name.

Hit the Add button to add a new server.

A new entry to the list left of the button should pop up. Enter the name "Digibase" there.

Once you've done that, click the Edit button.

At the top of the window, there'll be a list labeled "Servers for Digibase". Select the first entry of that list and click Edit, now replace its text with
irc.digibase.ca
.

Check the Auto connect to this network at startup box. This'll cause it to automatically connect once you start XChat.

Enter
#smghacking
into the Favorite channels text box.

Click Close

Click Connect

If all went well, you should now be chatting on
#smghacking
.

Indeed. Just wait till it comes back up, there's not much else you can do anyway...

You may want to fix the mibbit link too.

The IRC is still open. You just need to use a standalone client.
