I think the level data (Y[A]ML) is like XML, so once those files have an editor, it should be pretty easy to edit levels.

Including custom modeled?

Models use the standard 3DS model formal, CGFX. Viewable with Every File Explorer and Ohana3DS.

*Standard NW4C 1.x 3DS Model Format.
NW4C 2.x onwards uses H3D instead.

Wouldn't it be possible to play the other cutscene levels using the method Platinatic suggested?

I don't think the other cutscenes use levels.

Mario, nows not the time to play Hide and seek.

also according to the creator once we get proper collisions working we can have custom levels.

This game isn't as heavy as galaxy! You can basically edit all levels and make a "remaked" harder version of 3d land! And even make your own levels!a whole world hack!!

Think it would be possible to hack a hub world in there?

Like, SM64-ish type?

Uhh, ASM hacking? You could change it however you like. It's literally just modifying the code in a slight more readable (compared to binary) state.

Hopefully the editor will become as user-friendly as SM64DSe is.

And I know exactly how I'd do one too
We could have a mushroom house edited into a hub area, like a castle or open land

The hub would have multiple pipes that lead to the regular world maps, while more get unlocked as you beat each world

It would be a pretty big hub since the game has 16 worlds; especially if you want it to have a whole lotta that eye-candy

Does anyone know a way to convert the code in ASM?
Like with an emulator maybe?

Yay, custom levels are possible, I wonder if it's already available on the editor

Camera angle looks like it could be a pain in the ass though

I guess you just have to make custom levels fitting the type of camera

i'm sure the editor will be able to take care of that at some point
