So Rio 2016 3DS has rolled around, so I want to hear your thoughts on it!
It's better than London 2012 3DS, that's for sure. The events are more varied, there's a story mode that actually has effort, Miis and outfits, and it seems awesome. My only complaint is that they brought back gyro controls... and Synchronized Swimming. Yeah, that's totally fun - direction flicking totally is a good idea. ____________________

So wait, they went from decent touch controls on DS, to Button only on 3DS, to gyro controls? Well i'm not gonna buy this, no thanks, still might play it, but I stopped caring about the series since I tried Sochi Wii U and it sucks (Wii Motion Plus, really?) ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

Pretty sure Rio 3DS has the same bullshit restrictions (except you know, worse) as the 3DS London one than the Wii U one.
Also, there's virtually no character I like playable aside from Rosalina and possibly Toad, despite them adding a ton of characters to that game. |

Well... at least I can use Mario in all of them compared to London 3DS, but, why not... EVERY OTHER CHARACTER!? Yeah, Sonic and Mii don't have those restrictions either.
The only thing I care from this series are great character models and the wacky Dream Events. Not worth spending on, to be honest. |

Up until now, I had no idea that they decided to make most characters only playable in certain events. What a lazy way to balance the game!
I was tempted at getting this |
