What do you think about the next Mario Kart game?

Its name is unknown, but I think it would be Mario Kart 9. I think it will be a mix of Mario Kart and F-Zero.

Since it is Mario Kart 9, I think all the players should ride the same kart with the computers and they have to fight control over the kart and get to the end with the most coins. Oh wait...

SMK and N64 were pretty much Themeless.
MKSC and MKDD had a Fancy Sentence Theme.
MKDS and MKW had a Console Name Theme.
MK7 and MK8 had a Numeric Theme.

The Theme for the next 2 Mario Karts is yet to be revealed, but knowing Nintendo, it'll be a surprise.

MK64 had a Console Name Theme, according to the Name.

Wait... "Super" is also a console name theme! That means that the pattern is repeating... So Mario Kart 9 will be called Mario Kart NX.

The pattern was:
Console Name
Fancy Sentence
Console Name
Numeric (Not Fancy Sentence so that pattern is not ABAB)

I doubt think the pattern means much. We also can discus what we think the game will include. I don't think there is much left they haven't included in MK8 but maybe they could fix up Battle Mode/bring the double person mechanic from Double Dash back as an option for MK9?

Basing this off the predictable Mario Kart pattern here:

-It will release three years after Mario Kart 8 - so 2017.
-It will be for a handheld because the series keeps alternating from handheld to console.
-Graphics will resemble, but not be as good as Mario Kart 8.

Basing this off of NX rumors:

-The next Mario Kart for the handheld NX. Can sync to the NX console with HD specs.
-The console NX Mario Kart will arrive in 2020, will look miles ahead of the handheld game. Handheld may not be able to handle its awesomeness, but it may support the handheld NX as a controller/map screen.

Of course, Handheld Graphics are always worse than Console Graphics. :S

Technically, my 3DS games look better than n64 games, so not always.

N64 is a very old Console from 1996, and 3DS is a Portable from 2011. Graphics are better in newer Consoles than older ones.

It's kind of hard to compare the processing/graphical power of any portable console to a normal console. Usually you can compare it to the console 2 generations behind the current home console, but it's still not a very fair comparison since, to give some examples, the GBA was more powerful than the SNES, but had a smaller screen; and the DS was more powerful than an N64 but looked more pixelated due to the smaller screen.

But when it comes to comparing a portable and a home console from the same generation, yeah, portable consoles tend to be weaker.

As for what the next Mario Kart will be it's probably going to have some random additional feature with the gimmicks from the previous game.

People say that, but somehow I do not think the DS is actually more powerfull than the n64.

It's not. The 3DS is somewhere between the n64 and gamecube, but you may notice the games look better on the 3DS than either of those consoles. It's not about the power, but about who is making it. 3D DS games look better than n64 simply because the programmers back then weren't as experienced with 3D as were with the DS.

It may be just me, but I actually like N64 Graphics.
Of course not as much as GameCube or 3DS Graphics, but still.

What? We're NOT talking about Console Graphics!
We're talking about what the next Mario Kart will look like!

Im a little confused with that statement. Are we talking about what there will be in the next Mario kart in terms of say tracks, items, characters, track quality, gameplay changes, etc...? Or are we talking about, the graphics are better because the console is updated, and Nintendo's modellers are improving their skills, etc...?
