Now I really do have a reason for modding my 3DS (when I find it) :P

Very nice! How are you matching up the sprite positions though? :P

I make screenshots and serch for fixed points like blocks and calc everything back. Not that difficult.

I would make sprite images, but I don't believe ripping it from other images is allowed. I don't have a capture card, let alone a 3DS.

If they aren't compressed or don't look shitty in any other way, thats fine.

@Mariomaster
I didn't think of that. I usually mark out on my sprite images, but I guess you removed them for that post :P

@hamza62240
And try and follow the other guidelines as best as you can:

don't want to sound like a jerk but, shouldn't the editor automatically read the sprite data from the game itself and turn it into usable graphics?

because that sounds like less work than recreating every sprite I think.

It is more work.

Most sprites use 3D models.

Yep, and that would mean rendering them in a way that resembles the way the game renders them. Much easier to screenshot them in-game.

romfs support sounds nice. No need to bother with Citra if I can just play mods on an actual 3DS.

RicBent

Actually .3ds or .cia support was never implemented. CoinKiller works only with the decrypted romfs atm.
But when Citra runs NSMB2 at a acceptable speed we should think about that.

Also smea got romfs replacing working with NSMB2. Now we need a proper UI and saving.

Have you any ETA for this?

Hiccup

It'll probably get a release when it has some useful functionality other than viewing levels from a folder.

Now that HANS supports nsmb2, I can test anything you want on my n3DS.
