Based on Smealum tweet about no IronHax in Japan, Cubic Ninja is still on the japanese eshop.

But why would they keep cubic ninja but get rid of Ironfall?

Also, note that they can't fix Cubic Ninja, or atleast not trivially. The studio that developed it was crapoed or something.

They'd need to make ASM-level patches. Probably why they didn't bother: they could just block the higher exploits required by ninjhax and call it good.

(well, if you can exploit a game/app, you can still replace its code with your own; gspwn is a big thorn in their foot)

Amazing, but I'll bet everyone who has a 3DS downloaded the YouTube app first thing anyways.

Edit: I guess I can see how this will work. I've noticed the YouTube app seems to be pretty unstable, so it makes sense for an exploit to be lying around somewhere.

Youtube app internally uses the same engine as the browser.

I mean it always skips around and crashes all the time, in my experience using it.

(hell0, kernel exploit for the browser already happened btw) :I

Youtube is crap, the code sucks, and the 3DS has really low resources compared to the machines that typically load Youtube videos.

Have you ever tried leaving youtube tabs open in your browser? That ends up ruining your browser one way or another. Freezing, crashing, or in the case of Firefox, trying to give you seizure with fucked-up redrawing.

After all, IronFall is already removed form the eshop.

Downloading youtube now might give a chance for those that missed it.

Would pulling the Youtube app even hurt them? Youtube's coding is so crappy that even powerful machines have trouble surviving it longer than a few minutes. The puny 3DS stands no chance against Youtube. That shit is unusable on the 3DS.

I'll download YouTube to my expendable 3DS now, while it's still up, but I'm hoping that I didn't download Ironfall for nothing- I'm living on 12GB a month here! And I have to share it with my family.
