I'm having collision problems. As seen in the video Here, the boxes keep pushing me against the wall and even when holding onto the ledge, it forces me up into that direction. I tried setting the collision of the boxes to 0 and 1, but both had the same results. Note, this is on the test map. Please help. |

Hi everyone, I'm downloading SM64DSe from Github but no luck finding an executable to actually run the thing. I'm running on Windows 8 if it means anything.
Thanks! |

Posted by Celestial The issue is indeed the collision types however the collision index eg. 0 or 1 does not define a face's behaviour but rather the collision type defined at that index. If you open the level editor and click on the button labelled "CLPS" you'll see the list of defined collision types for the level. Most of the collision types you'll new have been included in the drop-down menu to choose from. So, if you wanted collision type 0 to be just plain, solid ground, click on the drop-down menu for the first entry, select one of the options marked "Solid" and press enter. Now when you assign materials to collision type 0 you'll get the solid behaviour that you've just selected. |

Posted by Fiachra I was using Sketchup 8, is that too old ? I wanted to try importing the model in SMG2, since i have all the textures i need, do i need additional modelling or it'll look right anyways ? |

Posted by customlevelfan78 You'll need to post exactly what your error message says - I've just tried importing it in version 8 and there were no issues. No, it won't look right straight away: 1) you'll need to vertically flip all of the textures are they're inverted in SM64DS and 2) the model format in SM64DS (BMD) supports additional texture mapping options that DAE does not eg. "repeat flip" so you'll need to fix a few texturing issues manually eg. the path up to the castle uses the "repeat flip" option so you'll need to split each section of path into 4 triangles instead of just 2 and apply UV mapping to each half separately (can be seen in the screenshot I posted). |

Posted by Robokai Yes, the sound format used in SM64DS uses the SDK standard format used in practically all DS games. There's plenty of documentation, tools and guides available, gbatemp.net is a good place to look. Also see the Music Importation Explained thread. |

Is there a Linux version of the SM64DSe?
I'm sure you've mentioned this before, but I can't seem to find it. ____________________ NNID: GreenThunder1337 3DS FC: 1521 - 5979 - 1511 |

Whenever I try to download the newest version of this editor, it says "file not found".
Is there any way to fix this, or will I just have to find an older version? |
