I got the idea to do something like the Nintendo Directs /Digital events but for hacks/mods that are on Kuribo 64. It would show trailers, announcements. Please let me know what you think about this I think its a good idea but i want to know what other people think.

Why would you make a "text-based video" when Kuribo64 is literally a forum where you post text? Not to mention that the only people who would watch such a video would be from Kuribo64, and that would sorta defeat the purpose, don't ya think?

I kinda like it.

It would be a chance for people making hacks to reveal a new game, make a trailer, or even release a demo for the direct.

I mean, Endless Earth did something like that for E3, and that went well.

Completely ordinary trailer for a single hack that's only "special" because it was released during E3 =/= Large direct that shows lots of different things by different people.

Endless Earth was an extremely significant hack, too. One of this biggest problems with this is that K64 is just too inactive to provide enough material for one of these.

I think the clear majority thinks that as of this time, this idea won't really work.

True, there probably wouldn't be enough submissions.

Maybe this could be a huge compilation of trailers, demos (and everything else I said before) by people from Kuribo 64, NSMBHD, and SMSRealm.

I don't think that we should completely abandon this idea yet, but we should definitely wait until the rom hacking scene here becomes more active. Wii U hacking is beginning, Mario Maker is coming out, and SMG2.5 and SMS64DS will (hopefully) come out, so hopefully these will boost activity.

with Windows Movie Maker, you can move the text over the video (which I did do briefly), and maybe some video effects... that's really all you can do with it, so I was a bit limited.

Someone wants to go ahead with a more powerful editor, be my guest.

I have it too, and I have to wonder, what can you do when you scale videos?

I need to scale some SNES game footage that its a the original SNES resolution, to HD, with the nearest neighbour method as to not lose the pixelness.

Is it possible to do that?

Well, the original SNES Resolution is very tiny, I wouldn't recommend scaling that, especially if it's Recorded through SCART, Component, Composite, or any Lossy Codec (in case you Record it from an Emulator).

But 3DS Capture Card and Partner-CTR Capture both work perfectly fine when scaling, but I never go passed 1280x720, just in case.
