You don't need to preorder a digital game, they never run out of stock! ;)

Yeah but I want to buy it now so I don't forget later (and because my birthday is coming up and I want my parents to pay for it :P)

You can sort of preorder them.

Like they did with smash and splatoon.

You can buy it and then dowload like 75% of the game.
Then at launch date, you download the remaining part.

But I don't think they will do it with Super Mario Maker. But there's a possibility.

You can just prepare your account by adding funds to it. See if your folks can just get you some eShop cards.

I'm pretty sure I'm the only person who isn't hyped for Mario Maker. Like, creating a level on a bigass TV screen/ gamepad is the most uncomfortable thing ever for me. It's so much easier to make levels on a computer, with a mouse and stuff.

Anyway, Paper Jam was meh, the Metroid game wasn't that bad, I really don't like Wooly World, the Yo-Kai thing looks like a Pokemon rip-off, Fire Emblem was OK, Starfox Zero looked amazing, and Xenoblade Chronicles X was amazing, but nothing we hadn't been shown before. Bleh.

A majority of us aren't exited, just curious as to what it's like.

The reason im not hyped for Mario Maker, is because almost every level you'll find online is cheap, spammed levels, with terrible layouts, and no thought given into it.

Did you see gamexplains playthrough of him playing levels online?

This is the trend of mario maker levels: lakitus throwing bobombs, and hammer bros in koopa cars, that throw other hammer bros, that throw hammers.

i mean come on!

Yep, seems a lot of Super Mario Maker's tools are engineered to produce bullshit levels that require more luck than skill to pull off.

I'm gonna be part of that small percentage to actually design levels that aren't unbalanced and stupid.

and the sad thing, is when you do that, your level gets bad reviews because it isnt a cluster fuck of random shit.

How is bullshit levels getting a bad rating a sad thing?

EDIT: Bah, sorry, misread the 'isn't' as 'is'.

Other way around.

Actual good levels get bad ratings whereas the kaizo/effortless levels get good ratings.

Why you guys wasting time hating on Mario Maker? Should be using that time to hate on Federation Force and AC Amiibo Festival.

Pretty much sums it up how its shaping.

I was asking other users on some other forums I visit what they want to see,.

Pretty much seems people want a mix of both. Good levels and challenging ones with context, not kaizo trash.

Perhaps something like in the finals of NWC.

I'd like to point out that this is the kind of stuff that's giving Super Mario Maker a lot of attention and praise, and so we can expect to see a vast majority of this nightmarish stuff from the game's online services.

And if you don't think that this is the kind of stuff that's going to clog the servers, play any game with a level editor that has an online sharing function. They're all like this.

Ok, wow... I see what you mean...

Still, you DO have the option to not play them.

And if you've ever played Happy Wheels, I'm willing to bet the sorting system's gonna be like that.
