Because letting other's ears explode with nonstop screaming is not painful or annoying at all. I'm not someone you'd want to entrust your kids to though. See my above post.

Punishment should be at the discretion of the parents and should only be avenged if the child is taking serious damage through the actions of its parents.

Pretty much this.

Back then, kids could get hit by their teachers, which is deemed scandalous nowadays. But back then, there was actual authority at school. Nowadays those shitheads have no respect for anyone or anything.

And we're ensuring they have no respect for their parents either. How amazing!

Actually, that might be a terrible idea. What if the people who made it illegal to spank kids did so because when they were kids, their parents spanked them for insane reasons such as getting a 90/100 instead of a 100/100 on a homework or for sleeping an hour too much on the weekend? I don't see why kids should be physically hurt when they are not physically hurting you.

Do you even know how important punishment is for raising a kid? Spanking is the most effective measure because it makes them associate those "bad" actions with pain, and they won't do it anymore.

There's a distinct difference between whipping your kid and giving them a few solid whacks with a spatula or something.

I would keep physical punishments for extreme cases though. Like, if you want, IP bans on this board.

I didn't get to see the layouts on RVLution because I was at skiing camp. I guess it saved my eyes after all.
