well if anyone did want to try to spread it you could make an instagram or vine and ask people to spread pictures and videos. A lot of people go on instagram and vine and if you had follower their followers may follow you and so on and maybe you could ask slightly famous people on youtube (famous people are hard to get to) to help spread the word. Cobanermani456 (slightly famous) likes the SMG series mare than super mario 3d world which is saying a lot and Pksparkxx played hacked games like mario kart Riivolution and super mario 64 star road.(at this point it felt like this is an essay)

hate essay making rest short
He is a friend with Saphason that talks to other gamers doing reviews with them. He is also linked to Chuggaaconroy probably the best were going to be able to get. Those are all my ideas.

Hey, we can all still live without Smg2.5 anyway. Who cares about that project? Losing it is just fine.

Who cares about that project?

If noone cared, it'd have been terminated far sooner, you realize.

Soooo... Is there no chance it'll revive? I would like to help design levels if it does.

We don't have to have a project to make and design levels, feel free to make your own original level, I'm sure someone around here'd make a level out of it. SMG2.5 is simply an identity, it doesn't stop anybody from doing anything.

Will SMG2.5 never be released?

Are you talking about what has been made? If then, we have models and designs, but no galaxy that was ever completed.

Okay, so there are things still itchy on my head about this.. hmm, Why exactly was not one galaxy completed? I mean, you guys may have a different way of going about things but usually..like say when I made my Super Metroid hacks..I would complete one entire area as a whole before touching anything else...that was just in case I did manage to let it die..there is still that part that I have done that can be publicly released.

So..I'm guessing this was all over the place or.. was there even much done to begin with?

We only understood the reason of that far too late. Basically, before the focus system was added, people were free to work on any galaxy. So in the end, they'd just do whatever they liked, resulting in very few being done for each galaxy (besides a few ones).

So your guess is pretty much right.

Oh and for some dumb reason, all the galaxies' themes were decided and set in stone, and by no means changeable. That didn't help, either.

Wow... So basically this project had no way of getting finished even from the beginning? Usually there is at least a small glimmer of hope but..

I find that you should always do all the aesthetic things and music before you do any level designing. Here is the same idea, you should have done all the map plans and music and graphics work before you touched the level design. Perhaps that may of helped in the long run?

We kept hoping. We kept posting motivational speeches and other shit. We kept reforming the system (and each time almost losing half the team because some people couldn't stand authority).

But the goal was far too ambitious. Our team was nowhere near as good as Nintendo's teams. They are professionals, they get paid for that. The SMG2.5 ex-team is a bunch of teenagers who hack SMG as a hobby. And despite that, we wanted to make 49 full custom galaxies. It was unrealistic. SMG2.5 should have stayed what it was on day one, ie smaller hacks. But no. When model importing became possible, they decided that every fucking galaxy should be remade from scratch. They decided on 49 galaxy themes and set them in stone.

And the team members always had trouble getting along. Sure, my presence helped. During the Kuribo64 era, #smg2.5 has always been foolish, but standable. Before, it was nothing but constant drama. I helped fighting the drama, but that had its costs. People had to be banned. That didn't happen in the Newer team except in their early days.

Of those people, MoronCowbell, blinded by his desire for power, attempted to backstab the staff in his own favor. His attempts have been throttled, but of course, that didn't help either.

It's sad to say, but SMG2.5 was doomed.

Maybe after further updates and research.. and maybe after the bunch of "teenagers" mature a bit, Perhaps there could be room open for something new. I've been through all the drama that happened, Honestly it was all talk..through that I never saw much of any work done. Maybe one or two updates here and there but other than that it was just people asking for help, wanting to join or posting nonsense.

I know from my past, I myself have been a let down. I haven't finished a single project in my life, except the small ones. Looking back from today, had I stayed working consistantly on my projects, I know at least one of them would be released by now. I started one in late 2011, here it is 2014.

Of those 3 years I had.. I wanted to make a team hack myself. I limited the team to 4 people. Even still..if you don't have the proper resources or behavior.. Nothing will get done. There is more to being a team than just working together. From what I saw half the time, no one was working together at all.

Ah well..case closed. RIP 2.5.

lol

Either way, afaik this demo actually isn't getting anything done either...
It's upsetting. I would try to help now that I have time, but my SMG2 disc doesn't work anymore, and I don't want to do anything with ISOs.
