No, I'm talking about byml, which is a form of NARC. ____________________ a |

Thank you for specifying, in which case keep up the good work rean! Maybe by reading up about the narcs it can help you decompress some bymls (which, if they are like narcs as you say, should be compressed) ____________________ Hacking LM and trying to not suck. Weeeeeeee. |

It's me and NWP, btw. Once this is figured out, MK8's can be easily looked at too, since it's byaml. ____________________ a |

Do you guys have a way of opening up wii-u isos? From what I hear there are people who can do it but don't feel like sharing it. ____________________ Hacking LM and trying to not suck. Weeeeeeee. |

Posted by Spacey Yeah, you either need a kernel exploit to dump them from memory/the filesystem or if you make an IOSU exploit and obtain the keys (particularly the common key) then you can decrypt all the ISOs that were dumped and uploaded a while ago. We're working on a kernel exploit but it's not usable quite yet (along with MN1 having some.....complications). Bean/Chadderz have a kernel exploit (now patched as of the latest version) and some people have the common key, but nothing public yet. Also yeah, BYML is confusing, it's a table like BCSV but IDK how it all fits together quite yet. I have most of the format/layout documented already, go back a page or 2 (I think it's near the bottom of page 3). ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |

Posted by Luigi So you've already understood the file formats? Seems like you were just talking about them casually. |

Posted by Luigi I did read the entire thread, all I see is you saying they just copy and pasted the entire directory which anyone can find out and doing nothing new by ripping models and inserting it into SMG like that helps find out how files work, if you are ripping models you aren't doing anything in the game. And NARC files have been documented since 2009 and I'm sure you are just stealing information from there too, I'm starting to believe you made this thread just to be praised. This could be called hacking not this disappointment. And Starlight, I'm glad you could see and understand my point, off with this argument, learn to do some real hacking. |

I agree with Toadario, but I don't think this whole thread is a disappointment. I think the fact that MrRean says false stuff about people and things is a disappointment. no of course Gericom didn't made the editor, little elves did with their magic. he also doesn't know anything about these formats of course yet he puts to source online. Where do these lies come from? This is such a disappointment.
Also I am pretty sure byml is not a form of NARC (according to what Gericom says). |

NARC isn't related to byml whatsoever, NARC is an archive and byml is a text file which has some concurrence to xml, though it can be found in a NARC file. |

It's called posting my personal findings, without looking online for anything.
IDC about your opinions, really. I post the shit I see, to let people know, even if it's already found. I don't see hacking getting anywhere further with pointless shit drama that is trying to stir up. Seriously, just let me do this and not go nuts about it; I would much rather have people work together. You can use yaz0 to make it into a NARC; which Treeki's NARC reader actually reads. ____________________ a |

Honestly nobody wants to post drama here but you are the person who says that Gericom didn't made his very own tool. Its not bad to accept that he can do more then you and even if you don't share that opinion, its oke for me. But please do not say such things like Gericom can't do this and Gericom didn't made his own tool. These are just lies. |

Posted by mustafa What tool do you use to extract models? I can export textures fine using Every File Explorer, so if you aren't already using that I would suggest giving it a try |

You just export the model itself with the textures. It's not that hard. ____________________ a |

Use Every File Explorer and open a .bcmdl file, then click 'File' > 'Save As' > '.Obj' |
