This tool makes it possible to extract the sounds from a .aw bank. Just place the .aw file inside the folder and run SMR_SMG#.bat, where # is the number of the game.
This was originally created by thakis, while I've added SMG2 support and removed unnecessary files.

TBH I don't think an aw extractor isn't necessary much, mostly because of you can't convert it back.

Finding unused stuff is cool, but doesn't kick progress at all.

But uh, nice.

I know its a stupid question, but I cant seem to find the power-up themes. Am I looking hard enough? Ive checked (pretty thoroughly) twice.

They aren't in the AW files...unless you mean the individual instruments.

They have to be somewhere. They aren't AST's, after all, the title screen music is an AW file. Not just the instruments.

They're in the DOL.

No, just kidding. They're in AudioRes/Seq. Good luck cracking them open.

blarg splitz, can you like, not act as if it's a pain in the ass? It's a RARC, so just drag it in rarcdump.exe...
A bunch of SZS files come out, and shit. Have fun.

I would think it would be one whole sound effect file, seeing as the title screen music is one whole sound effect file.

SZS modifier and CTools SZS explorer can't read them, so...blargl.

Why would they? This is a completely different engine. All the sequence files are a variation of MIDI files. I have the spec somewhere....
