The reason it does that, is because the background is separate. And the glitters are the animations for the select screen, as the background isn't included with it.

The unused text file "DebugMessage.msbt" mentions the scrapped World G (WorldMap08Galaxy).

Are you sure? I think the grand world map is "GrandGalaxyMapZone" :O

Nevermind, apparently I didn't look at it enough back then. It is unused, but it was probably used as the grand world map for debug, hence where it is. And yes, I should know, I was the one who found that reference :P
I know this because later in tht list StageSelectWorldName08 is the World Map.

I found another cool thing. Dark King Kaliente is still present in the game's code except his model files. If added back in, he will work just as before. Set Obj_arg1 to 0.

He's not around anymore...mostly because he's banned, lol.

But look at the other obj_args the one in SMG1 has, and try those out.

SMG2 patched:

It always crashes the game.

There must be a way to lock the controls so the cutscene can't be stopped.

That was me that got it working, I don't remember exactly how since it's been over a year. I think all I did was the same thing as Blue Chips and rename the boss object in boss blitz to load the v2 version and then add in the model filea, I think I even went over to it to see if it worked and it did.

Doesn't work for me. The game loads, but there is no lava in the planet and the fight never starts.

The boss works, but if I stop his intro cutscene the game crashes. That's the problem :o
The models I've added were OtaKingLv2and OtaKingFootLv2.

I remember hearing something about needing to patch in the model for the falling meteors. Perhaps that's the key...?
