So I wrote this story as a final for my literature class. I've been telling people about it on the IRC and a lot of them have wanted me to post it. I wrote all of it this week, usually between the hours of 11PM and 2AM so sorry about any errors or awkward parts.

So this is a scifi story, but it isn't your standard everything's perfect and action packed. It isn't childish either so be prepared for some difficult scenes and a ton of random names and acronyms that barely get used (Its also pretty long).

So what I'm posting is just a prologue and first chapter. One of my summer projects will be to expand on it into hopefully a more complete book.

The setup seems interesting, but if you work on it further (not as a school project) you need to take a lot more time to flesh out the setting, situation, and characters before diving into the action. Slow the pace a lot -- I could easily see a book having three or four chapters about what these 10 pages have.
