The Direct was just genius
Sakurai is just fantastic. He's made the game so it appeals alot to both casuals and hardcore, and he solved the whole "banned stage" thing by giving an option for all stages to be like Final Destination (also you can play 1vs1 matches with no items online). And then we have all the rest... The Final Smashes... The Returning Characters.... The Newcomers..... The ALTERNATE COSTUMES (Yeah they actually introduced that). The new game modes..... The Online.... The Movesets.... CUSTOMIZABLE FUCKING MOVESETS GODDAMN EVERYTHING! This game looks like it will take over Melee as being the most competitive and best Smash game. This trumps both Melee's gameplay AND Brawl's content. It's just......amazing... It's REALLY late here right now but now I simply refuse to sleep. *goes and plays Melee Also I just noticed......I GOT POST 40000! (Not that it means anything )

Wow! I am simply blown away (almost). The only thing that was disappointing was the newcomer. I really wanted to see either Chrom, Blaziken, or somebody else. Greninja isn't bad... he's just odd. I'm still crossing my fingers for Blazichrom.
Also, I really want to see Captain, Ganondorf, Snake, and Wario return. Then I'm happy with the roster. ____________________

As far as the online - fantastic. As long as its not laggy, FUCKING FANTASTIC. Really exited for the hardcore mode. Also, I know that each stage has a final destination alter ego, but was that stage little mac was fighting on the actual final destination? ____________________

Posted by gridatttack I have high hopes for the online. Nintendo managed to do Kid Icarus Uprising and Mario Kart 7 very well (although I admit that Uprising did have lag sometimes). He has also already mentioned that people with a shit connection and who keep causing trouble will be banned, so there's that. Also is it just me or does EVERY character look ridiculously OP. It's like Brawl-. To jump in this conversation, it's only people who fuck around on the online. Such as using cheats, leaving right after a battle starts, etc. That is for only Random Match Online, I think. Also, I don't think all the characters look OP. As I predicted, Little Mac is super strong on ground but terrible in the air. (Sakurai actually used the word terrible.) |

If not then things can really screw up. Even though I'm not a huge SSB fan like you guys, that was pretty amazing and actually makes me really want to buy the game. Though I probably won't be able to do any matches of wifi because of my spectacular internet. ____________________

I absolutely loved most everything in that direct. The only thing I was slightly disappointed about was Greninja, but I think i'll have a fun time playing as him.
EDIT: Apparently GameXplain found about 400 pictures for Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3ds from an unknown source. It confirms a few items and assist trophies. ____________________ You can tell I'm testing new avatars. Status: Totally didn't change this, nothing to see here. |

I freaking LOVED the Direct. Everything about it was amazing. I love the graphics, the characters, the new modes (and how it appeals to both casual and hardcore players), and that they explained the movesets a bit more. 
I thought that Pokemon shadow was Medicham at first... Then I saw Greninja and I'm like NO WAY. ---------- The one thing I kind of dislike about making the stages "Final Destinationalized", is that there's no platforms. Obviously, some characters do better with platforms than without and vice-versa, so I do see some bias here. =P Also I got a bit scared when Sakurai said "if you don't have a good connection, you won't be able to play comfortably". I have a friend in California, but we lag badly (and yet we both have good internet speed), so I'm hoping we won't lag when we play in Smash 4. But after hearing about Kid Icarus' and Mario Kart 7's online, I don't think it'll be bad at all. ____________________ Yo-YO, let's GO! The PSI Prodigy! (SSB4 Ness Combo Video!) |
