So far only 7 retro tracks have been confirmed anyway, so there's still a high chance of Yoshi Valley and other fan favourites to return. Less than half of the retro stages are confirmed so we shouldn't really start complaining ALREADY about courses taking the slots of other courses -_-

Anyway I must be the only one who actually likes DK Jungle. Probably because I'm really fond of tracks based off certain games (Rosalina's Ice World was the biggest disappointment ever. Was THAT supposed to represent Super Mario Galaxy? The course is ok but tbh I dislike the SMG references because they feel random).

Hoping for an actual track worthy of SMG. There's no way Nintendo can convince me that Rosalina's Ice World was the most original SMG track they could make. They could make a friggin CTGP Revolution-big game with only courses based off SMG stages).

As for Gamecube there are only 4 tracks left that have never returned in a retro cup. Since the game will obviously have 2 Gamecube stages like MK7 (and one of them is Dry Dry Desert) I really hope for Wario Colosseum. There is no single course in Mario Kart history that could make better use of gravity gimmicks than Wario Colosseum....

Wario Colosseum is the first track I thought of them remaking when they revealed the game, and it is one of my favorite Mario Kart tracks.

I hope Wii Moonview Highway returns as a retro track in this game. Best course ever :D

Alright guys, I know this is a edited post, but this is BIG NEWS. Newegg says Mario Kart 8 has a TRACK BUILDER.

Mario Kart 8 Wii U is a new game for the Wii U. It features new elements such as customizing bikes and designing your own tracks. It is the sequel to the game Mario Kart 7.

If this is true, this would be SO FUCKING COOL, we wouldn't even need to make custom tracks anymore! :D

Although it probably won't have online functionality. NINTENDO, PLEASE MAKE IT ONLINE FUNCTIONAL, IT WOULD MAKE THIS GAME THE BEST MARIO KART EVER SURPASSING EVEN DOUBLE DASH!

Sorry for caps but this is (possible) AWESOME NEWS.e two.

I just hope it doesn't turn out to be a brawl custom stage builder all over again. It should be simple enough for the newbies to use, but have plenty of advanced features to use for the experienced players. Using RCT's track builder system would not be a bad starting point, especially with all of the gravity.

If there is a track editor it will most likely be VERY simple (Brawl-quality. Maybe even less).

The reason for this is that COMs have a specific AI, and if people could get the ability to do everything they wanted there would be huge glitches and bugs during races, and the AI would probably be confused. CPUs in Brawl normally play Horribly on Custom Stages no matter what difficulty, since you can make stages that mess up their AI)

This would also completely screw VS Races in that the guy who made the stage has a huge advantage and can create loopholes and cheap shortcuts that he knows about (unless the stage is really simple, but who wants to create boring and easy tracks anyway).

Although Nintendo could instead decide to go all-out and give us almost endless possibilities and give us the ability to edit item boxes and the paths that CPUs will follow (like the pro MKW hackers). Either way if they include a track editor/creator it will be a huge step and incredibly pleasant surprise. Unless it turns out to be complete, useless garbage (the editor) then the inclusion of custom tracks alone will make this my favourite MK game :3

I don't even care if it only lets you make flat tracks, if this game has a track editor it's a instabuy for me. (although i would already buy it)

I made a list of my most favored list of tracks that could return. Had to evict some good ones because the MK series is adding up so much fucking tracks to their roster each time, we really need five track cups again or five cups for each GP.

Cup Tracks
Shell Wii Luigi Circuit | 3DS Music Park | GBA Mario Circuit | GCN Dry Dry Desert
Banana 3DS P. Plant Slide | DS Shroom Ridge | SNES Vanilla Lake 1 | N64 Royal Raceway
Leaf 3DS DK Jungle | Wii Grumble Volcano | N64 Yoshi Valley | GCN Wario Colosseum
Lightning SNES Donut Plains 3 | DS Tick-Tock Clock | GBA Bowser Castle 4|N64 Rainbow Road

2 SNES
3 N64
2 GBA
2 GCN
2 DS
2 Wii (:()
3 3DS

Find any problems? Disagree? This is one of the only times where I want to hear your opinions! :)

(Also let me reiterate that it is SO HARD to make a list because of only four cups.)

I wish they would make a rainbow cup for both the retro in which there would be the rainbow road from Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Super Circuit and Double Dash and non retro which would hold the ones from DS, Wii, 7 and 8.

Well, MK7 is now "retro", so expect to see some of them in the retro cup.

Calling MK7 retro is like calling Miley Cyrus beautiful.

I do not think Mario Kart 7 is even close to being "retro" but they kind of have to put SOME tracks from that game in the Retro cups.

I'm going to have to admit, before she got all "twerky with the short hair blonde haircut," she was pretty fucking attractive. I fell in love when seeing her on Hannah Montana, but didn't say anything knowing my sisters would bother me about it for the rest of my life. A little secret about good ol' NSK ;)

I was using that as an example, not to start a Miley Cyrus conversation, no need to BS Mod but let's really get back on topic. ;)

Apparently there might be a Bullet Cup in this game.

I know :D I'm really hoping for at least 2 extra nitro cups at least.

It's safe to say that there will be four MK7 stages (one for each cup). They had 4 Gamecube stages in MKDS, 4 DS Stages in MKWii and 4 Wii stages in MK7.

It's pretty obvious :P

I don't think MK7 is retro ether, but MKW was retro in MK7.
