Even though we aren't a NSMBWii centered community, Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii is such a big project that its final release is definitely worth mentioning. Full game hack projects rarely make it to completion.



After three years of hard work from its team, Newer is finally finished. It features brand new overworlds, levels, graphics, music, enemies, and even more!

Without waiting any further, download Newer and start discovering it! Just like the original game, it is playable from 1 to 4 players.

Note that you'll need a NSMBWii disc to play it. The hack can also be played on a Wii U.


What else can we say? Well... we sure hope that SMG2.5 will meet the same success as Newer.

Have you seriously not seen/played the mod? they made it 2D on purpose. The entire world map is 2D now. It's much easier to edit that way too

I really regret selling my copy of New Super Mario Bros. Wii now. It was one of the most fun experiences I've ever had with a multiplayer game...even though I didn't have any friends at the time and as such had to play with my parents. Either way, this hack looks brilliant, I hope to try it out once I re-obtain a copy of NSMBW.


Well you could make an iso out of the Riivolution files using Newer smbw iso builder. Link is in a Youtube video.


But I should tell you, i've heard doing that is piracy. So in other words, do this at your own risk.

If he downloaded it before selling it, it's legal. If he downloaded it after selling it (not owning it anymore) it's not.
