So, I thought I'd make a thread to see what you all think about this new concept called Bitcoin. It's basically the first digital currency, and the first that isn't controlled by some dictator bank ruling over the world with it. It's probably, IMO, the future of currency, and apparently it reached a value of $1000 recently o,o ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |

It's not really new, it's been around for a few years.

yeah, like, 2. The software was released in 2011. New is a relative term, and 2 years isn't /THAT/ old o,o ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |

Posted by NWPlayer123 Well, the way you phrased your first post made it seem like it was just created. Sorry if I misinterpreted your post. |

I used to have something like 0.67 bitcoins that I got for free from a few people back in 2010 when they were barely worth anything...
I spent most of them last year and early this year (mostly on games) when the value was around $100. I'm regretting that, I could have had $700 worth now I've only got around 0.07 BTC left now. I'm keeping that for now just in case the value goes up even further... |

Exactly. The price boomed last month. I remember having $0.40 worth of bitcoins last month. Now I have $4 |
