Here is the thread for the Super Mario Galaxy 2.5 focus galaxy. This is the galaxy we will work on until it is 100% complete.

The Current Focus Galaxy is...
Yoshi's Island 3

Here's what we need to do.
We have a design. Made primarily by cosmological. I just need to find a way to post it and get it revised.

Make Models
People who can make models for this galaxy include:Agent000, cosmological, NWPlayer123 and PaperplateismGuy

Create and Apply Textures
Glem3, NWPlayer123 and Jesse

Create the level
shibboleet MK7tester NWPlayer123

Soooo we're kinda all waiting on you cosmo

btw guys keep in mind cosmo said "CREATING and Applying textures" which means that using custom-made textures would be awesome, especially since we could then keep the filesizes down to what we want.

It's not that difficult ._. If you're doing it right, it should be a few clicks to map a texture perfectly in blender.

btw Cosmo if you don't want me to bevel that (it makes the poly count all scary and it also derpbevels some edges) I'm ready for the next area. But I honestly dont' know whether I want it beveled or not...

Poly counts mean nothing, it just makes it more difficult to import because you can only exceed a certain amount of vertices in a file. It's only about the polygons in the camera's views, you won't see any other parts of the galaxy, so only this renders. Go wild. People have this crazy idea of OMG IT'Z GONNA LAG AT A CERTAIN LIMIT. Sure, if it's all in the range of the camera, but the chances of too many polygons rendering at once, especially once you optimize it with low versions of planets, is nearly impossible unless you do it on purpose.

Oh, this is going to be 3D? If so, at least rework the design quite a bit... it should be entirely new, Sonic Generations style, with some callbacks. Pretty awesome actually, it'll be neat to see this stage in 3D. Maybe I'll draw up some concept art tomorrow.
