Battle 1: Stone Tower Temple - Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask |vs.| Buoy Base Galaxy - Super Mario Galaxy Battle 2: Kanto Gym Leader Battle - Pokemon Black/White 2 |vs.| Sonic Unleashed - Perfect Dark Gaia (Final Boss) Battle 3: The Red Coin Fish - Super Mario Sunshine |vs.| Wily Stage - Mega Man 2 This looks to be a fair fight... Voting ends next week, so get to it! My votes are for Buoy Base - The trumpets make up a large reason, the song gives me goosebumps.. Perfect Dark Gaia - once you get into this soundtrack, it gets really intense, and thus it wins. Wily Stage - I hear my brother listen to this a lot.. never knew it was Wily Stage.. now that I hear it for myself, I under stand it. The beat of this song surpasses the orchestra of The Red Coin Fish. |

Battle 1 - Buoy Base: Although the Stone Tower theme is eerie and awesome, Buoy Base just destroys it. Epic, original, and just pure ear candy beat the more subtle MM Dungeon theme.
Battle 2 - Kanto Gym Leader Battle - boy this one is close. The BW2 remix is good, but not as good as the original. Dark Gaia is good, but the composition didn't really go anywhere, so I guess nostalgia won me over. Battle 3 - Wily Stage. No contest. Although I love the Red Coin Fish theme and it is SO relaxing, there is something so retro and nostalgic and epic about the Wily Stage. Also, I suggest making the other first round threads at the same time. That way it will all flow faster  ____________________

My votes are for:
Buoy Base - It gives off such a great vibe as you are in a lone small aquatic fortress in space, and you try to climb it. It gives a sort of a navy-feeling while still sounding very space-ish. The intro is also a big part of why I like it. Gym Leader Battle - Very intense as well as nostalgic. It really makes you pumped up for battle, and unlike Perfect Dark Gaia it's not a final boss theme. This was a close one, but the Gym Leader theme gets my vote. Wily Stage - One of the best songs from the 8-bit era. It has a great beat and makes you very pumped up for the final fortress, and the tune is catchy as hell too!  ____________________ Former SMG2.5 Advertiser and one-time Level Designer/Artist - So Apparently Norway is rich while Denmark and Sweden are happy. Battle 1- Buoy Base. While it is cool how the stone tower music works forward and backwards, I just love Buoy Base.
Battle 2- Gym Leader Theme Although it isn't my favorite rendition of the theme, (that would be the HG/SS remix), it is still awesome. Battle 3-Wily Stage. Simply put, there is a reason why this song is considered "overrated". |

Battle 1 - Stone Tower Temple. I didn't really like Buoy Base that much as a theme, and it doesn't really capture my attention. Other than that, Stone Tower Temple is the best eerie theme I have heard from the older Zelda games.
Battle 2 - Perfect Dark Gaia. This theme is literally my favorite boss theme of all time, because of its epic feels it gives me when I fought this boss while playing SU. The song gave me a "ultimate second chance" feeling, and that's why I love it so much. Battle 3 - Wily Stage. It's just so much catchier then Red Coin Fish theme, and probably my favorite theme in Megaman. |

Battle 1 - Buoy Base
Probably one of the littlest galaxies shows so much emotion by having such an awesome theme that it got it's own green star. Stone Tower is just meh. Battle 2 - Perfect Dark Gaia I really didn't care much for this battle, but meh, I don't like Pokemon music. Battle 3 - Wily Stage Although the Red Coin fish is soothing, this is a rockin' classical tune. But it seemed kind of unfair to put these two against eachother. |

This time my votes are:
Pokemon D/P Champion battle: As much as I love classic Mega Man music, Slash Man's theme isn't one of my favourites while the Champion theme from D/P is epic and yet emanates a mysterious vibe. Pokemon Colosseum Final Battle: Yeah I'm not voting on every Pokemon theme I hear, but I'm a sucker for Pokemon music and this is one of the better tracks from Pokemon colosseum. Also I didn't really like the Spyro one that much even after listening to it multiple times. Fire Emblem Id: Purpose: Easily one of the best songs in gaming's latest years. The choir, the melody, the intruments...everything is PERFECT! and it also sounds a bit sad while also inspiring, which also fits incredibly well with the time when this theme is used in-game. #4 Pokemon D/P Champion Battle: I've always liked Pokemon themes, and this one is no exception. It feels really upbeat for me and makes me feel determined. I remember playing this so much when I was younger and got really excited my first time getting here, so nostalgia somewhat influenced my decision. Mega Man 7 - Slash man's theme is good as well, but I'm much more familiar with Pokemon and I don't get many strong feelings from this. =P
#5 Pokemon Colosseum - Final Battle: Another Pokemon theme I absolutely loved, it just completely energizes me and it sounds very epic, majestic and elite to me. This was the first song I tried to put into Brawl when I got custom music hacks for it, actually. Love hearing it whenever I play Brawl. As for the Spyro 2 theme, it gave me an energetic and rocking feeling as well, but I feel the former had a greater sense of epicness. =P #6 Fire Emblem Id: Purpose: I had to listen to both (I never heard either of them before), and I find the former sounds very heroic and inspiring, and I absolutely loved the instruments and the choir. With the latter, I liked it at first, but I felt the loop points were too quick and just made the song drag on so it was bleh to me. ____________________ Yo-YO, let's GO! The PSI Prodigy! Battle 4 - Pokemon D/P Champion Battle. It sounds so epic and was my first champion I went against in my history of pokemon. Truly memorable.
Battle 5 - Pokemon Colosseum Final Battle. Sounds a lot more epic and pumps you up for a great battle. Battle 6 - Kingdom Hearts DDD: The Eye of Darkness. Sounds much more epic and gives me a feel that I'm about to go up against something powerful. |

4: Pokemon D/P Champion Battle
It really amps you up, continuously going up in intensity, while not being annoying at all. It's fast, smooth and epic. Slash Man's theme isn't bad either, but it's just not as fast or epic as Cynthia's theme. 5: Spyro the Dragon: Wizard Peak To be honest, I don't really like either of them because they both are really repetitive, don't have a strong melody, but this one was slightly better. The Pokemon Colosseum sounds rather generic to me. Not very memorable. 6: Kingdom Hearts DDD: Eye of Darkness I actually like both of them. Tough choice. But I prefer a stronger beat, so...yeah. ____________________ Burrow Base design- Text complete. I might try my hand at some art...maybe...eventually...? Bullet Base design- Final Frontier- (collab) There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. Of course, it's usually an oncoming express train. Slow and steady gets you trampled by the other guys. |

4: Mega-Man: Slash Man. Not my favorite, but I really dislike D/P's champion battle. And this theme is pretty cool.
5: Wizard's Peak. I like Spyro music in general, so this one takes the cake. And its pretty good too. Not a huge fan of the colosseum final battle. 6: Fire Emblem: ID Purpose. I loved this game to DEATH. And this was one of the best songs. It is so motivational and epic, I can't describe it. It beats Eye of the Darkness by far, as Purpose has some really nice chords and really wants you to beat the level its played in (no spoilers). ____________________

7: SM64 Credits. So nostalgic, and epic at the same time. It really is perfect for the end of the game. Outset Island is good, but is slightly on the generic side for Zelda. Compared to SM64's credits, it doesn't compare.
8: Butter Building. Shadow Man is decent, but is rather generic. Butter Building is modern, cool, and catchy. Certainly memorable. 9: Nemesis King Bowser: Both are incredible. L'Impeto is very emotional and fast-paced. But Bowser wins, as his battle theme is the best one in the series. Orchestral, intense, epic, and most importantly, memorable. ____________________

#7: Super Mario 64 - Credits: I'm not getting any special vibe from Outset Island, but with Super Mario 64 Credits, I feel so happy and nostalgic... Though I suppose nostalgic isn't the right word considering I never played SM64. Regardless, the Credits sound beautiful.
#8 SSBB - Butter Building: From a nostalgic theme to an awesomely rocking theme, Butter Building takes the cake for me. I absolutely love playing on Halberd. Shadow Man is alright though. #9 KH: DDD - L'Impeto I honestly am not too fond of Galaxy's soundtrack for some reason. IDK why but very few of them were memorable for me. L'Impeto on the other hand, reminds me of Mario & Luigi: Dream Team's Final Battle theme which I loved.
