New features confirmed are the spiked frame boss, Light Box, new Beat Block-esque platforms, and the metals platforms that have to be balanced in one of the levels.

Super Mario 3D World looks better and better with all these new features. Oh, and the orange dinosaur is confirmed to be named Plessie.

Edit: When Mario grabs a Green Shell, he can get inside it like the Blue Shell and it will turn into a Red Shell.

If you lose so many times in a row on a level then Nintendo pretty much tells you "You're too noob for this. Here's some help for you noob" by giving you the leaf. When you think of it like that then it turns out that maybe the invincibility leaf was made to taunt you if you were bad enough to die so many times :P

Beating all the levels without the leaf appearing can actually be considered a bonus challenge, so I don't mind that it's in :P


The challenge should be beating the game fairly, not letting some noob continue being a noob. This is probably more of NSMBWii's fault for carrying it over but I still want kids of today to not be babied around. I wasn't when I was little, and I liked it better.

I don't think you get the point. It's a CHOICE, that's why they give you the block. If you wanna do it legit, like I always do, even if I'm failing hardcore, then you have the option. So stop whining about optional stuff that they're not forcing you to use.

Last view: 2596 days ago 		Yeah, kids these days are ruining the challenge by just saying "WAAA I WANT MY MOMMY" and the game giving them the super block or whatever it's called. It might not affect me much in my gameplay, but I care about other gamers, and having them babied is like...should I even?

I remembered when I was playing I DIDNT HAVE THE SUPER BLOCK OR WHATEVER IT IS, -

blarg nevermind, I am kind of complaining, but it's still disheartening

not that big of an issue, but disheartening.


Adding to this, one of the best things I found with Mario was having that one level that you just keep trying and trying over and over again, that you cant skip, that's a challenge. It's unfound in recent games.

Keep in mind I find this a little issue, not a big one, I still like the game, kind of.

They showed Mega Mario running but Mega Luigi and Mega Pwach were walking slowly. I think that is because the players were not dashing.

It is probably the same for the Invicibilty Leaf. The player might be dashing. This is only mere speculation, however.

Part 2 of Eurogamer's Let's Play revealed that the worlds are connected via Clear Pipes, like how World 1 of the Sprixie Kingdom is reached by a clear pipe.

Also, there is a cubic bush next to the Bowser's Supreme Highway Castle or whatever it is called. It does not have a title so therefore it must be one of the world map secrets.

However Nintendo will probably just make the final character Yellow Toad (because that's something they would do) :P

Well that would fuck us over. But are three flaws in that.
1. Fire Blue Toad is yellow's fire form in NSMBW/NSMBU.

2. Blue is simply known as Toad. Not much, but my next one is bigger.

3. Yellow Toad is in the toad house. I can confirm this. Got to Super Mario 3D World's Mario Wiki page and check source 7 or see yellow toad in other characters.

I think it will definitely be Rosalina.

I too do not think Rosalina will be playable but it still a possibility. Just don't get your hopes up, though.

But Luigi#1 is right about Yellow Toad. Since Captain Toad has his own quests, it is certainly possible that he may be playable for the "normal" mode.

Remember that the Comet Observatory can be seen in the group artwork and Rosalina has a de facto stamp, so she may as well appear in a special world or the ending along with the Comet Observatory.
