Ooooh this is nice.

What a shame this means we have to use an old-as-fuck version of Maya with a pirated plugin, and a pirated tool to convert to nsmbmd/nsbtx. We should do our own OBJ comverter :)

Yes. I've never been a fan of using Nintendo's tools. But making good tools takes time... see how long it took for SM64DSe, and it's not even finished... (and probably never will be)

Well, we can go and copy the code from MKDSe for generating the KCL. It's GPL after all...
Or are MKDS and SM64DS KCL's different?

I have no idea. But it's likely, considering how Gericom would keep asking me stuff about MKDS's KCL format on the old board...

I remember that he said, SM64 DS collision is compressed and decompressed it works in MKDS, too.

Well yeah.

Here's the thread if it can be of any help.

"By the way, the kcl files created with the SM64DS Editor are not compressed. The other kcl files in SM64DS are and when I decompress the kcl file of test_map_b (tox box map) it works in MKDS. (I know the header is 4 bytes shorter)."

Look :3 Maybe that does help for SM64 DS? :nyan:

Nope. Also I'm done with SM64DS, don't try to bring me back into that :P

Though, that might help with MKDS somehow. From what I get, collision maps in MKDS have to be compressed because no LZ77 header...

No, mkds kcl files are a little bit different from sm64ds kcl files. Mostly the fractional part of values. Because sm64ds is smaller.
