So, I used my theory that all the files are the same and that there's no "slots" and there's no reason that one file setup should crash in another galaxy, and I was right.

I ported Flip-Swap to Beat Block

All I had to do was rename the files and change some variables. In this instance, I had to
  • rename the BCSV inside RedBlueExGalaxyLight to be TimerSwitchingPlatformGalaxyLight.bcsv
  • edit the Scenario file by
    • editing GalaxyInfo.bcsv's ONE value, the world the galaxy is in for the world map to use (3 vs 1)
    • hex editing one of the field hashes for ScenarioData.bcsv(the second to last one is a hash of the galaxy name)
    • editing ZoneList.bcsv to change the only "zone" (the galaxy itself)
  • edit the UseResource, since it links the message files, and every file in stagedata needed
  • edit the msbt name in the message file(s) so it reads right
It's that simple :P

EDIT: Ported Flip-Swap to Sweet Mystery.

Here it is for anyone who wants it

Forgot to edit this again to add Grandmaster.

Here you silly fillies go :3

Nice work NWP :P
So it's just a matter of renaming all the references to the galaxy? Interesting.
Does it work with custom galaxies?

There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. Of course, it's usually an oncoming express train.

Slow and steady gets you trampled by the other guys.

Great job! Now I can work on porting the various Flip-Swap levels to other galaxies. I have some mediocre BSCV knowledge gained from adding stars and such.
Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

Of course, if it works in Flip-Swap, it can work elsewhere.

Will this help in being able to create entirely new galaxies on the World Map, or is that still out of our capability. I would really like to see something like that tested.

Nope, not possible without ASM hacking. I already tried. I know how it all works.
At least, with working stars.

In all honesty, I'm pretty tired of hearing "ASM Hack needed" as just writing off something as impossible. Why don't we start doing these ASM hacks already? Newer wouldn't be nearly as technically impressive without all of Skawo/Treeki's ASM work.

Because we need the motivation to do it. :P

Here's some motivation for us all. :3

DO IT.

Best motivation we'll ever get. We're not getting paid to do this, y'know.

Not everybody has the technical know-how to assembly hack.

well the best motivation is to see progress, so maybe if we finish modeling some planets...you get more motivation :D

Guys, back on topic, this is not about being motivated to do whatever, this is to port galaxies so we can use Flip-Swap and then port it over to something else.

So, this solves the problem of custom galaxies crashing on any other galaxy, since we can create them on Flip-Swap then port it to the other slots....right...?

Correct, if they work in one galaxy, they work in another.

Of course, why would Flip-Swap be any different than anything else.

This is also helpful with other galaxies crashing upon editing. (Twisty Trails, Starshine..)

Could someone please check if DebugMoveInfo is causing this issue?

LOL :D Twisty Trials and Starshine Beach. What a coincidence.

Humongous Fungus is replacing Twisty Trials and I was trying to get Starshine Beach working once.

._.
DebugMoveInfo is in Flip-Swap and doesn't crash. What would be so different about Starshine and it crashing there...?
