The sole reason Mario's house was even made was for the introduction, nothing else.

Also, a Castle as a HUB doesn't scream "Home" like other things do. It needs to have the feel to it in order to actually work, or else it's just a piece of shit in space and doesn't have any feelings whatsoever.

I must say, nice job on the drawing. But is a completely spherical and super complicated (when it doesn't need to be) hub necessary? It looks like it's built more like a planet in one of the galaxies rather than a hub. Think less like Starship Mario and more like the Comet Observatory. I'm not asking for a hub as large and expansive as Delfino Plaza, but at least make it less...round.


I too think it is too round. Something more flat like the Comet Observatory would work but with the top floors easier to navigate by having them be more expansive than narrow.

Instead of the idea of a house or a castle, why not incorprate some elements of a contemporary house, castle, and city into the hub? The Comet Observatory accomplished that with the domes. By expanding on the incorporated elements in the hub like Delfino Plaza did, there is much more to be offered to the player.

Well, the hub is the place that the player will see and visit the most often. It's important to make it both visually appealing and fun to explore.
