Sorry if this is out of place but I don't see a generic help/questions thread. Is it possible to swap models/animations around for an object in the editor like in TT64/SM64? Not by replacing model files but specifying object parameters. Or do those parameters even exist?

I don't /exactly/ understand what you're asking, but yes, some objects do have an obj_arg that changes the color, but currently the most recent official release doesn't support rendering the different colors, and you'd have to know which objects let you change the color in the first place, regardless of if it renders it.
I doubt that whitehole would ever let you view animations outside of a built in editor, but surely not in the main editor.

For example, say I want to swap a green koopa's model with a red one. Objects in Super Mario 64 (standard 0x24, special 0x36, etc) have a parameter that allows you to specify a model ID to use with that object. I could even go as far as assigning Mario's model to other objects although it would look quite messed up.

Yes, that's controlled through an obj_arg. I don't deal that much with object parameters, but I know it's documented in the ObjectDB so look there about that. Of course most of that stuff is undocumented, so if you wanted to spend thousands of hours testing lots of obj_args and documenting them, go ahead :P It would be super helpful.

I do plan on spending some time testing arguments yes. But first I need Haswell to run the game with. :)

v1.2 is out. Hope it works well. MrRean did a lot of what's in it :)

The perpetual screenshot of v0.9 RC kinda wrecks the image. :P

So I'm assuming the shitload of bugs in the Private Beta are fixed? Like, this has been extensively tested?

I hope so.

Also, I'm lazy. And, as you surely have witnessed from the sudden spike of activity into lolSnes the silly side project, I have lost motivation.

I'll fix any bugs found in this version.
But it's very unlikely one would be found.

Well, I do like the stuff that was changed, I don't use Whitehole much other than as a viewer, but fixing models loading and being able to view and edit more stuff will help a lot.

Sorry, I wasn't really sure of this, but is area adding supported in the final release?

EDIT: I'm also pretty sure that path coordinate editing is broken.

I don't know about paths, but to add a new scenario you have to edit the Scenario file.

, which is not easy as you think.

Whitehole still takes me 10^6 years to load a single galaxy or zone. without shaders.

Paths are fixed in 1.2. Haven't tested the new version yet. Hopefully it runs a lot faster?

You mean 1.1? Because in my 1.2 can't place a path it first acts as if I have not clicked any thing beside at the bottom. And also 1.2 is the newest one.

No. I just had to disable it since Multiselect stuff and adding new ones broke.

Already planned for v1.3

Adding them is, but it's just not enabled.

Saving coordinate bug. Fixing soon.

So path adding is fixed, but not enabled? What's the point of that?
