Post here how you first came to play one of the SMG games and how it led you to SMG2.5!

My story:

When I was a lad about seven, I hated video games with a passion. This was mainly because my kindergarten friends were unintelligent and played video games far too "mature" for their age. Eventually, my mom decided she would get me a video game simply so I could relate to my peers more.

To this day I thank my lucky stars that that game was a recently-released Super Mario Galaxy!

It is still, to date, the most magical game I have ever played. The Comet Observatory theme at the beginning of the game still brings a tear to my eye. I would play it with my next-door neighbors, and we would laugh and joke about galaxies that WE would make if we had been designing the game. About 3 months after I bought it, I had finished it. I got the sequel when it came out. While it was an amazingly fun game, it never had the same magic as did SMG1.

We later moved away, but I am still in touch with my neighbors from back then. Every time we get together, the conversation always happens to turn to Super Mario Galaxy. So, when I discovered SMG2.5 by complete accident, I was kind of dumbstruck. I kept tabs on it for a while, and I eventually got up the courage to make an account. Today, I am living my childhood dream of making wild and wacky galaxies. Me and my old neighbors couldn't be happier if we tried!

Now, I'm off to play some Super Mario Galaxy. (How's that for emotion, Polari? ;))
Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

In late 2007, one of my friends told me about Super Mario Galaxy. I thought that it was a Super Mario Sunshine that took place in outer space. In Summer 2008, I decided to get a Wii. I got Super Mario Galaxy in July 2007, a few days after I got a Wii. Man, Super Mario Galaxy was my favorite video game at that time.

And I have stated my story of SMG2 before here Kuribi64 (like in the Town Square and other threads I believe).

I got it from a friend who apparently didn't want it(SHAME HIM) and then I played it and was in love. Today, it is STILL one of my favorite games of all time with Star Wars Battlefront 2, Minecraft, and Metroid Prime.

Heh. I wanted it, but because of my derping parents saying that it was too childish with flying dinosaurs and Mario, I couldn't get it. I asked my 6 year old sister if she wanted it and I asked if we could buy it for her for her birthday.

But then I played it, with the condition that she was P2 :P

I had been introduced to Mario kart Wii through friends. It was my most favorite game of all time. A few months later after we decided we wanted Mario Kart Wii we bought them. I LOVED playing on it at my own home! One day I wanted to get all the characters, so I looked it up on the internet on how to get all the characters on Mario kart wii. I was looking through the list, when I came to Rosalina and saw: create a save file of Super Mario Galaxy. at the time, I thought it was for The ds.(Yea I didn't know so much about Nintendo back in 2010) months later, SMG2 was released. My friend suggested it to me. so a few weeks after its release in the USA(I don't live there any more), We bought it. I loved it even more than Mario kart wii. half a year later, we bought the original(which was NTSC-U). I liked it even more than SMG2 because it had bigger more open levels. Like Stygmax it continues to be my most favorite game of ALL TIME:) you will usually see me try to create a more open level, but still giving it that galactic feel.

When I was 8 years old I discovered this game in the city library (Yeah, our library had Wii games) and borrowed it. I played tis awesome game a while. Few months later I decided to buy this game. In 2010 I bought SMG2 on release :D (Sorry, if my English is bad. I'm German.)
The SMG games are the best games ever!
