Since many of us are making galaxy switch ideas, here is one of my own - to replace Misty Peaks galaxy (which sounds like a boring, generic, icy mountain) and turn it into something pretty cool and original. First off, I would like this galaxy to focus on not only snow and ice, but also having some red-ice crystals. It will add some much needed color to a colorless galaxy. There can be canyons, cool gravity planets, maybe even a small mountain. But I really want to see an ice cavern with all of these colors. Additionally, I want at least part of the galaxy to be covered in a storm similar to that part in Freezy Flake Galaxy. I like snowstorms and they make ice galaxies more mysterious 
So, what do you guys think of this idea? I haven't thought of a name yet but I'll keep you posted. ____________________

I feel like we should switch it with Misty Snow galaxy. Crystals would be cool, but would be a bit too much like Coastline Cavern. ____________________

What do you have in mind for misty snow? I am just worried it will be too similar to Freezy Flake, which hovered around generic. And btw, having crystals in multiple galaxies isn't a bad thing. AFAIK Coastline was just a standard beach galaxy (correct me if I'm wrong) after seeing the model Cosmo made. ____________________

And I don't want to go overboard with icy crystals - I just want them there to spice up the galaxy a little bit. And what is wrong with an ice cave? AFAIK the SMG series barely had them. Only a small taste of one in SMG2. So I think an ice cave could work if we could make it interesting. ____________________

Gah, im not saying we should stick to caves. I just want there to be a cave section in the level. I personally find ice caves really cool, mainly because you are literally surrounded by ice. And I am sure there are plenty of original and cool things we could do with an ice cave. We could use the gravity arrows and add pits on the top, bottom, and sides, or we could do something slide-based. ____________________

actually, I really enjoy ice skating. Long jumping over giant holes in a cave would be fun while skating
But I half-agree, normal ice physics suck. Alternatively, we could make the cave icy rock, or snow, or water and requiring Ice Mario. ____________________

Misty Peaks isn't useless.
IMO making loads of replacements at this point is just asking for it. (remember Cloneo? )
Whatever. Anyway... You realize that themes aren't superglued/nailed down to the galaxy. As somebody said, tailor the galaxy to the designs, not the designs to a galaxy. Instead of making up lots of new names, and making new plans for something, perhaps we could actually just add it to the design... ____________________ Burrow Base design- Text complete. I might try my hand at some art...maybe...eventually...? Bullet Base design- Final Frontier- (collab) There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. Of course, it's usually an oncoming express train. Slow and steady gets you trampled by the other guys. |

And your point is? It's not approved, you can just easily make a newer one.
Also meh, the main reason I don't really want a giant mountain is because of how hard and annoying it might be to model it, and the insane poly count that it would probably have. ____________________

Personally, I think we should remake this galaxy to be more booming and adventurous, rather than quiet and mysterious like so many ice levels in Mario games. I think that a cave could really work. I'm thinking about taking inspiration from Pac-Man World 2's ice levels. They're fast paced, and oh so deadly. Especially the ice skating sections.
