Or we could have Mario drop in the concert. That does sound pretty cool. But it would be hard to model. But i do like the idea.

How would it be hard to model? It's just a concert stage. And changing enemy sizes is very simple. and what do you mean by mario DROPS in? does he like... fall on the stage, DISTURB the stage? or what?

I actually find the Octoomba concert thing to be a VERY unnecessary and useless concept. I'm all against that idea (unless it will actually have a point, not take too much time to figure out/implement and somehow fit in.

We don't need things like that tbh. -_-

Just at the end of the level a bunch of Octoombas surrounding a stage (with a ramp so Rock Mario can get up) and a star in the centre. That's all I was envisioning the "concert" to be anyway.

Since we have beem discussing rolling on instruments, woodwind and brass instruments would work as tunnels for Rock Mario. The holes like is a flute would be blocked off with bouncy fences. The fenced holes would act like the bumpers on pinball machines.

Well, if my music notes idea goes well, they will make trumpet sounds while in the tunnel. Keep in mind the tunnel will be quite short

I think it would be a nice touch to the level and a fun thing to put in for people.

I personally think Star 3 should be a Speedrun Comet. Stars 1&2 will apparently have Rock Mario rolling on all sorts of instruments. It would then be strange to have Star 3 be a third mission or even secret star. Plus, since music can be fast, it would make sense to have a speedrun.

You don't know that. Star 2 could easily be a secret mission and then have a comet. Which could involve a romp comet using rock mario as well.

Are we still thinking about using an Octoomba Concert? If so, that section can work as a potential Romp Comet. It would involve Rock Mario rolling over Octoombas of all sorts on an ampitheatre or stage.

My plan was star 2 be a crash course and then star 3 is a secret star by getting all the notes on said crash course

Also I appreciate the beat block idea, but it's way, WAY too hard for a player to actually pull off. Especially when taking into account the lag when you start rolling as rock Mario. You could roll through trumpets, across the keyboard, on top of drums... etc. Also don't forget to make use of the drums and cymbols already in the game!

The best part to have the musical notes would probably be the spiral keyboard. An infinite rolling section would work out better because the Star can appear at the end of the Musical notes. A finite rolling section, like in Boulder Bowl, would be a problem since it would cause time to be wasted during the note collecting.

Yup. Also, I haven't abandoned this galaxy. I just have other things to work on.
