But for MK8, I really hope they remove the time limit for balloon battle. That pretty much ruined the entire mode for me.

since he in LM2 clearly said that he wanted to take over the world and rule it alone, I doubt he works for Bowser

and yeah, but that might make Balloon Battles way too long. People would probably just camp somewhere whenever they got a green shell just so they could get a shot in

Remember the balloon battle in MKDS? That was the best one. It was fun and addicting! For the camping problem, the solution is simple - made arenas not complex:P And, show a map on the gamepad which will show where campers are at all times!

Yeah the balloon battle mode in mario kart 7 sucks, I mean it's not fun like on the N64 or like in MKW.
I hope it will be as great as in these games ~:o

Seriously the Bob Omb Battle from MKDD was and is my hands down favourite battle mode ever. I remember the days when I kept playing it with my father, and he was actually getting quite good at it, so the competition was fierce

I also remember that even though those battles were really fun, they were also overly long, and I honestly disliked the splitscreen, as then we both always knew where the other was, and then the leading player would keep chasing the losing player (or vice versa), and it would eventually turn boring. Oh well, I hope they bring it back and then make it so one player plays on the TV and the other on the GamePad. That way it would be WAY more fun.

On Saturday, I played the demo and I have got to say, Mario Kart 8 is awesome!

Funny story: When playing multiplayer, be sure you know who you are! I thought I was Mario but the guy I was playing with was Mario and I was Daisy. So yeah, make sure who you are so that you do not embarass yourself in front of your friends and family. But it was still very play.

About the game at its current state: Most of us probably already know the tracks do not even have names yet. The fonts used definitely seem to be in beta. Many of you are probably wondering why MK8 comes out in Spring 2014. The game does look to be in beta development so the game still has work to be done on it.

There were 3 tracks - the gravity figure 8, the Shy Guy Town, and the Boo Mansion. The only track not playable from the trailer (new ones) was the ruins track.

Everyone could only get to three tracks maximum.

The first track is likely to be called "Mario Circuit. It has Peach's Castle and gravity. The second track seems to he based off of New York City and San Fransisco. It has the "Princess Peach Statue of Liberty" as I call it, trollies, and a steep road going downhill like Lombard Street in San Fransisco.

AGREED! Personally I dunno why they even bothered to change his design at all since the first LM. Was it because he was too scary for kids?

And also why the FUCK wasn't the "Boo House" course shown in the Demo a Luigi's Mansion 2 course instead. I mean it already looks to much like Gloomy Manor, so why couldn't they just edit it a bit more and change the name to "Gloomy Manor" or something LM related.

Y'know for me, names play a big role. For example, if the MKDS "Luigi's Mansion" course was officially named "Ghost House" by Nintendo (even tho its obviously Luigi's Mansion), I would dislike that track much more.

Buut at least I know that it's the earliest beta, which can always be changed (although they rarely change beta Demo MK tracks alot, shown if you compare the beta Mario Circuit, DK Jungle and Cheep Cheep Lagoon from MK7 with their final versions. They're basically the same)

It is actually the earliest beta we have seen. We do not know how long the game has been in development.

Also, Boo House course may become an LM2 course like you said. And if King Boo is on MK8, I would like to see him in his LM2 form.

I liked his... Bone Tank or something? Whatever. He still needs to come back nonetheless. King Boo also needs to come back and in his LM2 appearance as I said in my post above.

Dry Bones's kart would probably be something greyish-tan. King Boo's should be the color of his tongue or crown (assuming he has his LM2 apppearance).

King Boo's kart could be the Boo Train from LM2

And as you can guess on of my biggest wishes for MK8 is to include King Boo in either his LM1 or LM2 design (LM2 one is better but if they for some weird reason choose LM1's then I won't complain)
