Mika-music - SMG3 theme?
And NWP, I get where you are coming from, but I also know how music works. I honestly did not get the feeling that too much is going on. Some of the other SMG pieces used weird composition techniques, but I rolled with them and actually really began to appreciate them. ____________________

yeah i totally get what your saying , but the average player will just hear it and think its a mistake, unless its more supported its just my opinion of course. |

I have to agree with Gintoki here... the triplet notes do sound like a mistake. Perhaps altering the rest of the track to fit the rhythm would fix the issue. |

IMO, unless somebody has an even better one, this is good enough (well, perhaps a few tweaks?) to be approved. It fits the level, with it being an underwater volcano, something like Deep Dark with the beach/haunted themes replaced with lava. ____________________ Burrow Base design- Text complete. I might try my hand at some art...maybe...eventually...? Bullet Base design- Final Frontier- (collab) There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. Of course, it's usually an oncoming express train. Slow and steady gets you trampled by the other guys. |

Hmm... Its a really good song! But it doesn't sound menacing enough at all, and it just doesn't fit the theme in general.
It is a good song though, it just doesn't fit here. If you don't mind, after I finish Edge of the Universe, I am going to come back to this galaxy and enhance or possibly redo my previous song. I possibly made mine too menacing and evil. I will make something both menacing and sad at the same time for this galaxy. Your song has the sadness part down really well. ____________________

Wow, I really like this song! Very moody and atmospheric. Honestly I think it would fit a level like this very very well. Perhaps add a few low, legato synths to make it a bit more intense at some parts, and see what you can do to get the violins to sound more realistic. The music fits the sad mood of the galaxy but it does not fit the entire galaxy, such as the lava which would be better with intensity. Something Mika's theme would fit the water parts. I actually agree. Mika's theme works well for water really well, but there is a whole different realm, the lava. My piece may have been a bit overkill, but I did feel that it expressed both water and lava very well. ____________________

No Problem. You really do know how to create complex, and thoughtful themes. Now the thing is, just use that talent and make it feel SMG-ish. Possibly, could you use Deep Dark as some inspiration?
Most of my themes either are based off of Nintendo themes, or use Nintendo Motifs. ____________________
