find -name *.swp -exec rm {} +

But can your Windows 8 PC do this?

(That command finds all Vim swap files and delets them.)

Eh, people make a HUGE deal about the start menu. I see no difference. I got used to it. All the new features like faster boot time, more fps on games, faster shut down, new task manager, etc. I prefer all of those features more than the button.

I will never make an effort to get used to Windows 8, because Microsoft made a mistake and I won't support them.

For me, its features are completely outweighed by Microsoft's UI design failure.

It would be nice. But no, it wont happen. Microsoft makes a ton of money off XBOX, it wont let pc merge with xbox and take its sales.

Metro is just a full screen start menu. With tiles. There's nothing wrong with that actually.

Then why is the web filled with stories of people who hate it and can't get used to it? Why did Windows 8 start out selling even worse than Vista, if it's so good?

I highly doubt most people will want to get used to it. Besides, why should Microsoft dictate exactly how they use their computer, and not give them a choice?
