This happens to me a lot. XP is aging, but many still prefer it. Vista was ok, Windows 7 was nice looking and functional, and Windows 8 is not as nice-looking but still is pretty functional.

Vista was pretty much the beta for 7. that is my problem with it. xp works fine.

I think Windows 7 is much better, but I do admit that Windows XP was good. Vista was also very functional for me.

No. It is totally useless in my opinion. Downgrading is a bad idea. Windows 8 is pretty much the same as windows 7 but a replaced start menu with a start home screen. Besides, you will notice your computer will run and boot slower with windows 7. Do what you want, but paying to downgrade is not a good idea.

Windows 8 is like some sort of windows 7 designed for tablets & touch devices. If your computer isn't touch, I would recommend getting windows 7 instead...
