Hello everyone, as you can see in the title I'm lately having trouble with some stuff in SMG2 and maybe some of you know how to help:


1. How do I create collision for ".dae" files (I only know it for ".obj" files)? With collision I mean the ".kcl" and ".pa" files, which are needed for every object Mario walks on.

2. Which Sound, Floor and Wall Code do you use for small objects (like flowers), in which you can walk through?

3. How do I add chain chomps to a galaxy? I know this sounds easy at first, but it's way weirder than that, because everytime I add a chain chomp to the galaxy, it just crashes as soon as I choose a star. If I connect the chain chomp with a path, it just doesn't appear as soon as the galaxy loads. Why is that so and how do I make the chain chomp appear following a path?

4. How do you make specific objects move to specific directions/rotations etc. Paths doesn't seem to work with every object. And furthermore, is it possible to make some sort of object "spawner", which will repeatedly make an item fall as an example.

5. A bit similiar to the last question, but is it somehow possible to make objects move, but only when Mario spins (like the ones in Flip-Swap Galaxy)?

6. Is there a way to make animations for objects? As an example: I want to make a Galaxy Icon for the Overworld and the object shouldn't just turn in circles completely moveless, but should maybe have moving water or an enemy or maybe something else.
And another question related to that would be, if it's possible to use already created animations from the game itself to use them, and if yes, how would that work?

7. How can I get a better understanding of how cameras work? And is there a programme, where you can view the cameras before being ingame?

8. How do cameras of launch stars work during the time, where Mario flies from one planet to another? And how can you edit them? Are they the same as normal cameras just positioned at the path where mario flies?

9. How do the cameras of the galaxy preview work before Mario flies in the scenario? And how can I add my own to a brand new galaxy?

10. How do I add text to signs or entities on a brand new galaxy?

11. How can I create slide sequences like the on in Slipsand Galaxy (what ground do I use and how can I create the camera like that)?

12. Is it possible to create levels with the bird races like Fleet Glide Galaxy (how do you make the bird race begin? How do you make Mario teleport to the bird and start the race with it? How do you make the end of the race and make Mario teleport back to the start position?

13. How do you change the order of the galaxy icons at the bottom in the World list? It doesn't seem to be a real order and often it completely mixes the galaxy icons (sometimes even from several worlds).

14. How do I make 2D sections in levels?


I think I asked every question I have for now. I would be surprised, if someone really answers them haha
