Anyways, this questions a curious one, a lot of people favor their favorite Mario game a lot but what about the Mario game that got them into the series?

Hoo boy, for me, this would be Super Mario 64, now you must know why i'm a better fan of 3D Mario than 2D Mario :) I did play Super Mario Bros. 3 in my early days though.

Which one did you first play?

I didn't make this a poll because there are too many options, and it just feels better like this, reply with your answer.

Also i'm leaning more on the mainstream Mario titles than spinoffs in this question.

Mario Kart Double Dash was the first Mario game I played in December 2004/January 2005. I believe it is the same as MarioMaster720.

I dont own a NES, but where i got my haircuts, i used to play, and i got to play both smb and smb3 there when i was little. The other games were just me going to friends houses and playing. The only games i own are smg and smg2, and ofcourse, all the other wii mario wii titles.

I was more into pokemon for years, but in 2009 I played NSMBW and realized how fun it was. So I'd say what really got me into Mario was NSMBW, because I understood what Mario was all about after that.

Super Mario Galaxy 1 - I theoretically played Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games first, but I've tried to blot it from my mind.

Now I've played most of the mainstream games. I never finished SMW though...

Heh, seemed like it was the Mario Galaxy of the time :D

As I said, Super Mario Bros. 3 (Super Mario Advance 4) was the second first Mario game i've ever played, so that one's nostalgic too. I like it better than most of the NSMBs.
