What books do you like to read? Any famous authors you have met? This thread is all about READING!!!!!! (there is no reading thread on the board, so I created one!)

I like to read tons of fantasy and science fiction. I especially like the Doctor Who books, the Pendragon Series, the Mysterious Benedict Society books, and tons of Naruto c:

...It might be where all of my craziness on the IRC comes from.

I also really like the Magic Treehouse series when I was in 3rd grade XD

I really like the Harry Potter and Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. I even got the second book signed by the author.

Am I the only one that is against E-books? I mean, they are putting stores out of business, and personally, I'd prefer having a real book in my hand and not just swiping your finger on a tablet :x

Me too. Books are a really good way to do something productive, while not looking at a screen :P That is why I like physical books, because they give your eyes a rest.

I mostly read comics, but I think books are pretty boring.

Sure there are many which I like, but there has never been a book which I read that I literally liked from start to finish. Most books I read either start good and then become bad or start boring/bad but become good at the end.

Also I am a reading genius (No I am not kidding). At the age of about 6 years I could read as good as most adults do now. Idk why that is. It's like for me it doesn't take like 10 seconds to understand a word. I have a special talent so that I can read really fast but still understand everything as good as If I'd have stopped and read every sentence and word slowly. True Story (Why haven't I told any of you about this earlier?)

Now you probably ask "If you have that sort of superpowers/Skills, why don't you dedicate your life to reading?". Well the answer is :

BECAUSE I FIND READING SLOW AND BORING (Yes I said SLOW. for me, my normal reading/a normal person's fast reading is too slow for me. I should try and read faster but that would be impossible since I wouldn't have time to even read the words).

So basically yea I rarely read books (but my superpower/skill is still VERY useful in normal life), but if I don't have access to a phone, gaming system, PC or have friends around then sure reading a book is something I would pleasantly do :3

Ok, I've decided to read the harry potter series, and let me say, the climax in Prisoner of Azkaban is SO FUCKING DEEP. About as good as Deathly Hallow's Climax, IMO :P

I've been reading since I was 2. I read very often and get genuine enjoyment out of King Arthur books. My teachers always tell me to slow down when I'm reading aloud to my class. :3
Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!
