Planet 3 is the weakest one for Flarefrost. Its not a weak planet, but it needs a new home - a house named, Aquaflame.

Guys, I told you already to stop catfighting.

I like the water slide idea myself, as long as it is used creatively with a bunch of obstacles that aren't generic or expected. I'm waiting until there are pictures to comment on the rest, as the text gives me absolutely no idea of what it would look like.

Well from what I'm getting, it's Loop-dee-loop on steroids, with that freezeflame ice water that hurts you, and you use the ice flower, and since that's too easy in and of itself, a bunch of enemies and obstacles

IMO, the design is a great start, though it's probably gonna need quite a bit of revision (fire/ice galaxy, y'know)

Planet 1: Great! No problems there.
Planet 2: Just a question: I thought the freezing water slowly took away health, right? Or how does it work in SMG2?
Planet 3: Erm...I slightly agree with mg3 there. Did you mean a smooth stream like in Loopdeeloop, or an irregular stream with the lava sea cutting in/seeping up through to make gaps and slashes in the stream, and with ice crystals/meteors raining down? A smooth stream would seriously be underwhelming, but if there's plenty of obstacles, it's fine.
Also, maybe one side of the sea could be influenced by the ice comet and be frozen. Just for looks.
Generally, this galaxy needs a ton of variety in obstacles.

Yes, if you stay in it for too long, then every, like, 5 seconds, it takes away one sliver.
Planet 2 could be and look cool with lava, but it would also make the model more complicated, along with the design, but it'd be cool. I like it.
MG3 has it in his head that he's gonna make a much better design, since he's "obsessed" so he had Mega delete his thread so he could make a better one once he "overhauls" his design.
And yeah, MC and Polari are gonna revise this design....eventually.

Remember that there are two freezing waters: The one that you can swim in Freezeflame and the icy one in Galaxy Reactor. I have no idea what are the Ice Flower's effects on the icy water from from Galaxy Reactor.

Okay, a lotta confusion. First of all, the slide of water is in the air and declines. If we made half of planet 3 ice, if mario fell off he'd be trapped. Also gc, when Agent said gc he meant gliding canyon. And I actually don't know what you're talking about with galaxy reactor. It's freezeflame water, nothing else.

In the air? That'd look weird...unless the stream comes from an ice planet near the ice comet.

No, what I mean is this. The slide goes over the lava, so if mario falls, it's certain death. But if mario lands on ice, he's trapped and has to kill himself, which a game shouldn't do

Ah, I see.
Hmm...
I think a trail of ice, then melting into a cold water stream, flat on the lava would be better than a smooth stream of water flowing through the air. But it's up to you and Polari.

Since now that you said you are going to be editing your post, I will point out what works in your design and what does not.

Works: The comets. They are simple, and effective (which is why I sort of used them in mine :3).

The evolution from Star 1 to Star 2, with separation turning into a pure mix of fire and ice.

Some aspects of your slide. I like having to use the Ice Flower and skate on a slide.

Planet 4 has potential, but needs elaboration.



Doesn't work: Your entire planet 3. I know it is supposed to be the bulk, but I had a really good planet for the bulk of Star 1 (it sucked at first, but I added some gravity and got rid of the maze and it got better). It was my cave planet. The top is a really creepy trek through snow, and a hole takes you to the inside, which has 3 sections of lava platforming. The 3rd has a Maagmargh challenge. There is gravity on the second. And also, there will almost guaranteed be a volcano in Aquaflame and Whitehot (possibly Gliding Inferno), so I think it wouldn't be the best idea.

As far as the slide on Planet 3, I disagree with there being a pool of lava with one track of water for ice flower use. I think it should be a linear track, with half of it being simple ice skating, and the other half be lava, with ice flower use. Caverns could spice this up if needed.

Once again, planet 4 sounds vague, but could really be something awesome if elaborated upon.



I did have a great background idea, and since you haven't mentioned the background in this design, I suggest you read it.

Planet 4: This is the planet between the comets, and perhaps the one I've considered the least. But of course, I'll get there. My basic idea ATM is that it will start out with some difficult linear platforming followed by vertical 2D platforming that takes you to the star. Also, since this is in between the two comets, hot n' cold collides again! On the left side of the vertical platforming, you'll see a lot of ice features, while the right side will have lots of fire features. Of course, there will still be a mix on both sides, as well as the first linear section.


For the vertical 2D platforming, why not have ice humps covered in lava that Mario must jump over? Also, a lava block could be falling up and down on ice, like a Thwomp. For the linear section, the little ice comets that form Ice Mario platforms in Suverburn would fit well.
