This thread is gonna be all about the Nintendo Direct News, which should prove useful in the long run
For one thing, like I bumped the NSLU thread, the DLC will have 82 levels and you have to beat each in under 100 seconds apparently There's also a new Yoshi's Island for 3DS, 8 new levels in DKCR 3D, Dream Team will come out on 8/11, A new Mario Party for 3DS, and probably the best news is gamepad play for Virtual Console. I can chill in my room all day and play it xD

This was an epic Nintendo Direct in my opinion
Also I never though I'd say this, but I'm actually.... TIRED of every new cool game Nintendo announces is for 3DS. There are like over 10 epic first party games that I want to buy (some already long released, but I cant afford them) for 3DS, but only about 4 titles for the Wii, Wii U and PS3 combined that I really anticipate, and that Nintendo has SHOWN (So Mario Kart U, The next 3D Mario, SSB4 and Zelda U dont count). Nintendo should lay off the 3DS for a little bit and focus on Wii U more. Also I can't believe I'm saying this either, but Nintendo was DOWNRIGHT RETARDED for having the guts to announce another Mario Party for the 3DS instead of the Wii U. I mean seeing a new Mario Party on Wii U is probably the only reason people even wanted to see a new Mario Party (if there existed people who really wanted another one). They could do so much with the Mario Party on Wii U, so why release it on 3DS (Which will basically be just like Mario Party DS, just with better graphics and well 3D)? 
Then again if Nintendo continues flooding the 3DS with such great games all other handheld consoles will be doomed, and I'll bet you that nobody will ever try surpassing the 3DS or even create another handheld ever again

There was a Mario Party DS?
With the new MP, it looks pretty good, but I think 8 is going to be my last party. The series is worn out and I'd rather spend money on things like 3D Mario U, Mari Kart U, or that interesting new Yoshi game showed in February. (The one made of yarn) |

The new zelda actually looks really good. I was skeptical at first, but it looks to be a fun side-quest from the main, 3D zelda series. ____________________

I wonder if Yoshi's Island 3DS and Yarn Yoshi will reference each other. Possibly, but doubtful. We're so close to E3 (June 11-13) and still nothing. I'm excited about the Zelda! I was kinda hoping it would be a fully 3D game like Twilight Princess of Skyward Sword so we could get a new perspective on the world. Or a top-down adventure on a console. I want them on Wii U, not 3DS! D: Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

I'm personally the most excited for SSB4, as I know that Nintendo will not change the general iconic gameplay of the SSB series. (If they did that fanboys would burn their headquarters down, and they know it). if SSB4 eventually turns out to be BETTER than SSBB, Nintendo will officially have created the best fighting game and possibly one of the general best games ever created.
Also I wouldn't be surprised if they announced a third LM game for Wii U. The LM series should be a trilogy, and imagine how badass LM could look like on Wii U! I mean the original LM's Mansion looked realistic enough, but imagine seeing it in HD! Yeah, at this point I doubt it. If anything SM64 remake, simply because of graphics and what they could do to remake the idea, because of what they COULDN'T do because of technical limitations back then. Yay! They better reveal more about Pikmin 3 (specifically what's its story, what's the main gameplay element going to be and such). An European release date for Pikmin 3 wouldn't be bad either 
And also I'd like them to reveal more about Monolith Soft's "X" game/Xenoblade 2
And maybe if I'm REALLY lucky, they'll announce that a LM3 for Wii U is in development too

Dat direct...Apparently, Nabbit is going to be a playable character. He won't be able to use powerups, but will also be invincible 
There is a standalone package version for it too, so you don't need NSMBU. It's kinda cheap.. Pikmin 3 info: There are 3 new characters, Alph, Brittany, and Charlie, the captain. And they also talk O_o Collectable fruit must be used collected then turned into food, apparently, to survive. Also, apparently, the Burrowing Snagret will return The gamepad is used to check the map and stuff? You can also move the characters through it.

New Sonic game exclusively for 3DS and Wii U called Sonic Lost World
The Zelda Oracle games are coming to the 3DS on May 30th and will be available for less than $10 for 3 weeks after they release. There is some more footage for Game and Wario More information about Resident Evil: Revelations - The gamepad can be used as a map or inventory or used for off-TV play. To be released on May 21st. In New Super Luigi U, you will be able to play as Nabbit in multiplayer mode. He cannot collect powerups, but he can not be damaged either! It will be available on June 20th. If you don't own NSMBU, it will be available as a standalone version. The Wonderful 101 will be released on September 15th. There are 3 new main characters in Pikmin 3 - Alph, Brittany, and Charlie. Also, there will be another Mario & Sonic Olympic game for Wii U!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itKUv_jsUoU The fact how they added Nabbit as a multiplayer character is awesome, and even though many people would say he's broken (due to his invincibility), I think Nintendo managed to balance it out nicely by making him unable to collect powerups (such as the broken squirrel suit, star and more), so you actually have to be SKILLED to avoid falling through gaps and surviving jumping sections (but yeah the invincibility still makes him op). as for Pikmin 3, ERMAGHERD IM SO FUCKING EXCITED I CAN BARELY CONTAIN MYSELF! OH MAH GOD THE GRAPHICS LOOK FUCKING WONDERFUL AND THE GAMEPLAY LOOKS FLAWLESS! OHMAHGOD I REALLY WANT THE GAME RIGHT NOW!!!!
However I'm sort of sad how they completely removed Olimar. He should at least appear as a cameo, unlockable character or maybe DLC?
Also we Europeans get Pikmin 3 earlier (U mad Americans & Canadians)
