Sorry for the almost 2-week no-progress-posted period, so here's the picture of Humongous Fungus Galaxy Planet 1:

I'll provide the link to the files once I test it. The blue mushroom may still be glitched (Remember what I said about collision debugging and saving it for last).

My opinion:
The vertex colors of the stems finally reveal themselves as bland. (Man, I wish vertex colors could be linked)
It looks like a forest of smaller mushrooms surrounded by a forest of big mushrooms.
Inanimate poison swamp is boring. (Deal with it until someone makes a texture animation creating/editing tool)

Notes:
First blue mushroom (You know, glitched collision, saving for later)
NO destructive criticism (ex: saying that the log looks like a cylinder and not providing a way to improve on it)

Have fun!
Level creators, get to work!

You need to do crazy kaizo wall jumps to get past. >:)

There's supposed to be a leaf raft there. I tested it with the leaf raft but I got stopped before I got there. You'll unfortunately need to add it yourself for now.
If it doesn't work over poison swamp, level designers, improvise!

Nice model mibts!
Only thing I don't like about it is the fact that there's only one log. And except for that, nothing but rainbow mushrooms.
Perhaps the stems could be made more interesting by adding smaller mushrooms sticking out the side? And other bumps like on Planet 2. Would it be worth it...hmmm.
It's great though.

I feel like the colors don't really fit with the poisonous swamp undertone. Maybe you could make the mushroom colors a bit more sickly-looking and darker.

Logs and sunken bridges Mario has to use
Yoshi and flower grapples.
Cloud Flower and some hazards
A moving mushroom/log and hazards to dodge
Vote!

P.S. You should be ashamed of yourselves, level designers, you're the ones who should be coming up with ideas.

I really like that one a lot better. You should try importing that one into the game.

EDIT: I would do it myself but I haven't gotten the hang of the Model Importer yet.

I was talking about SMG2.5 level designers in general, not the specific one for this galaxy.

The vote is inevitable. The leaf raft officially doesn't work.

Also, change of plans. Vote on whether smaller mushrooms and bumps should be included or not (1 to 0 so far)

Those mushrooms do look better with the darker colors. In game, those mushrooms will look fantastic!

I think the Cloud Flower, along with moving mushrooms, will go well on Planet 1. (Gah, typos had me put "2" instead of "1".)

There's really no need to vote :P Just pick the one you like the most.
Anyway, how about fallen trees as platforms.
Plus, smaller mushrooms sticking out the sides, along with some other bumps, would make the stems less....dull.
