The Ouya is an Android powered "hackable" gaming console. It runs on a Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of flash storage. As for connectivity, it has Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n protocals. It will have 1080p output for maximum resolution on the big screen.

Status: Announced
Price at launch: $99.99

It's only $100 and it has amazing specs. It even has an SD card slot and such.

This was the only console that I had trouble with pronouncing the name. Does the name "Ouya" have a significant background?

Dont think so.
Maybe it could handle n64 games (and maybe PS1 or if we are pushing it too far, Dreamcast games). Gamecube games require something more powerful (and not to mention how the emulator will replicate the wii motion)

Last view: 1770 days ago 		Yeah you can develop for it. But you need to learn to program android games (java), and then you need the money to put your app in the android market. And then you'd have to add support to your app. And maybe adds, etc.

As far as I've understood, the OUYA will have its own market where you can buy games specifically made for it (not just simple casual touchscreen games).
